We understand that many families are unaware of what steps to take when a death occurs. At Richard-Midway Funeral Home, we are committed to ensuring that our families have the required information that they need to make the right decisions any situation. We have provided below a brief overview of various circumstances and the necessary steps.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Our comfortable sitting area provides a wonderful place for family and friends to gather, visit, and relax. Beautifully decorated, our sitting area reflects the careful attention to detail that may be found throughout our home. Our elegant and spacious chapel can comfortably accommodate larger services, and it is also a dignifed place in which to host those more private services.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. I totally understand why my family has always used this facility for literally decades. It hit me hard when we made arrangements for daddy with mom, and they were absolutely wonderful. Then again when for the first time in my life I had to with my children when my husband passed...again absolutely wonderful. But this year the hardest by far with my mom's passing. Jeff and his staff are just the most caring, helpful , and compassionate people on this earth. These were the worst of times that their going above and beyond made better. I can never thank them enough.

I cannot say enough good things about this funeral home and the kind people running it. My family I had the unfortunate task of organizing a wake and funeral for a loved one and happened upon Richard-Midway. It was actually the only local one we called (loved one passed away elsewhere) and we were certain right away. Jeff is the best at what he does. He went above and beyond to assist my family through this whole process, our meetings with him were hours long. I'm not familiar with any other experience to compare to, but he really did make it as smooth as possible under the circumstances.

From the beginning to the end, Jeff and Bob instilled confidence that our loved one would be beautifully cared for and our family would be treated well. They were kind, compassionate, and patient explaining the many options and financial considerations. We never felt pressured and we felt we were valued as a consumer. Such professionalism and kindness. Everything went perfectly. The space was clean and warm (unlike some other places we saw) and they were able to accommodate our large family comfortably and the parking lot is huge and convenient.
