They may pull some information from the internet to support their claims, but have no real basis other than "It wasn't worth that much last year." Private Mortgage Insurance or PMI is the supplemental insurance that many lenders ask home buyers to purchase when the amount being loaned is more than 80% of the value of the home. Very often, this additional payment is folded into the monthly mortgage payment and is quickly forgotten.
This is unfortunate because PMI becomes unnecessary when the remaining balance of the loan - whether through market appreciation or principal pay down - dips below this 80% level.In fact, the United States Congress passed a law in 1998 (the Homeowners Protection Act of 1998) that requires lenders to remove the PMI payments when the loan-to-value ratio conditions have been met.

While a kitchen remodel may improve the appeal of a home, it may not add nearly enough to the value to justify the expense. I rarely write reviews, but felt I needed to express how wonderful Shane Buysse was in helping us get certified appraisals for estate purposes. We had some convoluted properties, with multiple parcels in the middle of nowhere, and Shane figured out all the details, and drove miles on a dirt road to check out the property. Besides being more than professional, he's a wonderful person, and so easy to work with! He seems to be able to handle every situation! :) Props to Anderson-Buysse!! I would highly recommend using their services!

I worked with Shane who was outstanding. I needed an appraisal for a refi. The appraisal was an educational experience as Shane talked about what he was looking for and why. I have had several appraisals on prior occasions, yet none were as informational as this. It was obvious that Shane did his homework which I can now appreciate is the work they do behind the scenes to determine the appraisal amount. Shane is very personable and professional.
