Services
The vans we have built featured on this website cost between $15,000 and $135,000. Since every build is unique and custom to the owner, It depends on a large variety of designs, options and sizes. We have been seeing, on average, builds coming in around $65k - $100k for an empty van to a finished conversion that includes custom cabinetry, sleeping area, windows, lithium battery bank, solar panels and more.

I had a small wood project and gave Rydawell Builds a call. Ryan answered and asked me to describe my project and if he couldn’t help, he’d help me find a place that could. After explaining what I needed, he asked me to drop the project by and he called me back that same day and it was done. He was extremely helpful and very communicative. Ryan and his team created exactly what we had in mind for our Ford Transit cargo van. They listened to all of our needs for the van and made them into reality while making everything beautiful, efficient and functional. We needed a custom drawer for our cats so our dogs can't get to their litter box - Ryan was able to seamlessly include it into our kitchen and even put in a little cat door for them! The craftsmanship of everything is of very high quality too. Not only did we get the perfect van build out but we also had a positive and enjoyable experience working with good people.

I found Ryan through a Google search and am so glad I did. I inquired about him building a platform bed with drawers for my daughter's room and he responded quickly. We iterated a few times on the general concept, then he came to look at the space, finalize measurements, talk about wood types, and then he finalized the price on the spot.
We loved the bed so much that we asked him to also build a built-in credenza for our entryway. Again, the process of measuring, designing, and pricing it took just a few iterations, and a few weeks later, we had a beautiful credenza installed!

What a seamlessly easy and collaborative process from beginning to end it has been working with Ryan. From his prompt response to our online inquiry about a built-in cabinet project idea, to his site visit and on going communications along the way it has been wonderful to work with such a quality craftsman. The cabinet quality surpassed our expectations but the finished details put into the installation and integration into our space put the whole project over the top for us. We highly recommend Ryan for your woodworking needs! We are in the process of remodeling out home and needed a custom-build island to fit our 144in x 30in butcher's block. We found Ryan for this project and he exceeded our expectations! He was easy to communicate with, met with us and discussed our design needs, delivered in a timely manner as promised. Ryan is a true craftsman! He was very responsive to any questions I had while he had my van, and kept a detailed log of what specific things he worked on and time spent on specific aspects of the build. I'm grateful that he was willing to work with me as my van was to tall to fit in his shop (I rented a parking space outside his shop so he could work on it outside) and his willingness to work on my partial build out. The wood work is above and beyond, I couldn't recommend working with Ryan more! It was a true pleasure.

Ryan at Rydawell went out of his way to help us with a wood working project. We had a large piece of reclaimed wood that need to be cut down for a furniture project and none of the other many lumber stores or wood shops wood attempt to cut a piece of lumber that was 7”x7”.
I contacted Ryan and he made it a priority to take care of our project. He went above and beyond our expectations sanding down the wood and preparing it for us to use.

Ryan designed and built us a media cabinet and bookshelf for a Craftsman house, and we had a wonderful experience working with him. He took care to match the style of the rest of the house and make sure the proportions worked both visually and to accommodate the various things we were going to store. He did meticulous work and was patient in answering my questions and in tweaking the design, and was very realistic about the time frame to complete the work.

I've worked with a lot of woodworkers over the years, and Ryan from Rydawell is easily the most pleasant, seamless and professional experience I've had by leaps and bounds. The level of craftsmanship is unreal. The communication was never strained. Last minute changes to our design were made on the fly. Our deadline was met with time to spare. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ryan built two built-in bookshelves for us and they are just perfect! I got quotes from two places that specialize in bookshelves, but they would only do 12-in shelves and were asking quite a bit more money. Ryan looked at the natural inset of the walls where we wanted the shelves and custom built them to be 16-inches deep--and they are beautiful. He is also a great person to work with and I look forward to asking him to help us with projects in the future.

We contacted Ryan to build a solid walnut dining table and bench. We'd been looking for awhile, and just couldn't find what we wanted pre-made. Ryan's online portfolio really impressed us, and the other reviews here made it an easy choice. Ryan was a pleasure to work with! Working on a TI project with some very design centric installations and interviewing various sub-contractors for the work we landed on using Rydawell and couldn't be more pleased. Ryan came recommended from a fellow woodworker in the Seattle area and spent roughly a year and a half working with us to build out our design for a media center.
Now I know what you're thinking..."A year and a half? What did they do? Did they build some kinda track that allows a TV to slide out from behind custom bookshelf and slide into a matching media console, or something?"
Yep. Actually, that's exactly what we did.
The year and a half epic journey involved figuring out how to run the cables to and from the AV receiver, altering the design to accommodate speaker changes

Update on our finished custom table-- there aren't enough stars to rate Ryan's professionalism and beautiful work!
We were able to get our wood slab dried in a kiln and Ryan went right to work on it as soon as it was finished. For a charge, he even picked the wood up from the kiln which saved our office a lot of time and it was especially appreciated for him to go the extra mile (no pun intended). Once he began working on the project, he was in constant communication-- sending me updates AND pictures the entire way! Considering this was such a custom project with such a unique piece

Ryan helped out on the design and building of an office desk for my electrical company. Ryan was very thorough on asking questions about storage, usage, space constraints, and the overall design. He sent over an estimate with a rough sketch of the design we talked about and I accepted his proposal. It took just over two weeks to complete the project and I couldn't be happier with the result. Ryan delivered and installed the desk himself in my office, something that seems to be rare with woodworkers. He completed all adjustments and offered to return if anything did not work in the future.

I have been using Ryan's incredible woodworking and design skills for the last year. My first project with him was a bookshelf with built-in bar area. He worked with me on specs, design, functionality and even did a site visit to ensure that the location within my apartment would work with his design. I was able to specify what kind of wood (up-cycled), stain, finish and hardware.
