Hi, my name is Christina and I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, and developing healthy relationships. Hi, I am Samantha Bickham and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma counseling and anxiety therapy, and I am an eating disorder therapist in Orlando, FL.
On the outside, you have everything together, but on the inside things feel out of control. You have this lingering feeling of dread and anxiety that you can't seem place with anything specific. It's like an undercurrent that tugs at you day and night, a sense of impending doom. You've tried self-help tools and they help for a little while, but before you know it, that gnawing feeling of anxiety is back again.
You're exhausted from trying to manage it all. You logically know the past is in the past, but your mind, body, and emotions seem to be reliving things as if they are happening now. At times, you feel flooded with anxiety and dread and have a hard time focusing and being present in your life. With all the unease running in the background, you're having a hard time enjoying the things that once brought you pleasure.
You feel out of control from trying to control things. You wish food wasn't necessary for survival because it's so anxiety provoking to manage it all. You see people happily eating at restaurants and wish you could sit down to a meal like that, but when you sit down to eat, your mind starts racing, I am going to eat too much?
You've done talk therapy and made lots of insights. You can connected the dots and see what is happening and why it's happening. But all this insight is not changing the anxiety, hurt, and overwhelm. You still feel stuck. Even with coping strategies, mindfulness, and insight, you still can't seem to heal the wounds the put all this hurt and pain in motion.

I found Lauren and felt like I really clicked with her. She’s expensive at $180 per week and doesn’t take insurance but I needed help desperately and really thought she could help. I only met her once before virus lockdown then we switched to phone sessions. Money got tight and she refused to speak with me every other week as her policy is weekly only, she said she’d refer me out which really hurt my feelings as I felt I was disposable and after all the time I put in, she was happy to discard me(remember these are phone calls not office meetings). Lauran Hahn is a trauma and anxiety therapist in Orlando. She was kind enough to present to our members, a group of Hotel professionals who are all affected by stress and anxiety due to Covid-19. I invited Lauran to come speak to a large group of mature adults about stress relief. Lauran was excellent at communicating prior to the presentation - listening to what the group was interested in learning and tailoring her presentation to their needs. She gave practical advice that was easy to follow - and, was new and different approach for managing stress relief. I appreciate the holistic approach. I can't recommend Lauran enough!! I can't put a dollar sign on the value that I have received from her. She is compassionate, non-judgmental, and truly truly cares about her work. She doesn't give you advice or steer you, she helps you find the light within yourself. Anyone can benefit even if there is no "fire" in your life and I think I will go forever!!! I wish for the day everyone is able to have the opportunity to go to therapy.
