Jax is the most honest, dependable mechanic I've ever been to. I have been a loyal customer of Jax for since about 2003. For years before going to Jax, I did most of the work on my cars myself. So, I usually have a good idea of what will be involved in the various repairs I have done. Over the years, the professional, friendly service I've consistently received has earned my trust.

When our long time mechanic retired a couple years ago we needed to find a replacement. Fortunately he suggested JAX. In them we found the same high quality workmanship and customer service that we were accustomed to with our old mechanic. It becomes harder everyday to find independent businesses like this that truly take care of their customers.

This place is Great, always friendly and Knowledgeable. They work fast but do it right. Honest and fair. I've been taking my cars here for a few years now when i need to...mostly the wife's car since I work 24/7 i don't really have the time to maintenance it often. When she says (babe) my car is sick...😐🤨😤😡 I already know it's something major.

I've gone to them a couple times for oil changes, as a closer back up to my typical mechanic. I prefer places like this for oil changes rather than drive thru spots where I've had bad experiences and check engine lights go off after the change.
Good solid work, no confusing offers or charges, made recommendations without pressuring.

Leaving one star. If you actually want good service I wouldn't recommend. I came here with my dad and first thing off the bat, none of the workers were wearing a mask. when first asked what time jax would be in, we were ignored. The man, not sure who he was that was helping us was rude and claimed it was "too early for this" when he was agitated with our responses and that we could leave the car or wait. Not sure why AAA even recommends them. In spite of the good reviews I would pay attention to the bad reviews they arent lying.

This place really has blown my mind. As someone who works on his own car, there's certain things I don't have the tools or time to work on. So I bring it here (Having a 2007 mustang, there's a lot that goes wrong lol) They're honest even when their honesty loses them money because they have something called integrity. They do it right and take pride in what they do. I noticed they fixed a few other little things and didn't put it on the bill.

As a AAA member we receive promotions. Recently, I received a promotion via email about a free AAA summer vehicle check-up at participating automotive. I selected this place. The receptionist was unable to assist me and said I had to speak with someone else. I was transferred to a male caller. He never introduced himself. I proceeded to tell him why I was calling. He immediately asked me how long I had been a member of AAA. I wasn't sure why that mattered but I told him, 15 years. By this time the conversation wasn't going well. Jack is a terribly dishonest individual. This company takes advantage of nice individuals who are dealing with hard times and tries to act like they are helping. Jack sold me a 98' Chevy Malibu with Low mikes saying it had nothing wrong and he wouldn't lie because he's been in business for 30 years. First off the driver side window wouldn't roll down, second off the AC would only blow cold on the highest setting and third the rear defrosters weren't even glued to the windshield. These are all recalls ok the vehicle that any good honest mechanic would have known about and

A/C blower stopped running in my Chrysler Town & Country van. An inspection revealed coolant dye on the CAF (Cabin Air Filter), so the evaporator was leaking. They explained they would have to drop the entire dashboard and all dash components. I wanted the car back in service, so they did it and got every single part back in place. A/C is back in service now and blowing cold air as good as new. Most of the charges were in labor to R&R the dash, so I knew what I was in for cost wise. If I ever need a whole engine replaced, this is where I will take it.

Our family has been working with the guys at Jax for over 20 years! Calvin and Jack are top-notch guys, they're very honest and do good work. They've always given us excellent advice over the years - so, we've been referring our friends and family to them too. I have been taking all my vehicles to Jack for years. I have found Jack and his team to be honest and professional. They have done everything from a simple oil change to new engine in my work truck. There are so many ways a car can wear down or break down over time. It's scary. On top of that, I am a novice when it comes to understanding when a repair or a replacement is necessary and what reasonable prices are for those services. So it was a relief to get my brakes serviced at Jax's.
Calvin helped me out and Jack walked me through what he'd do and how much it'd cost. The two were honest and friendly. They didn't try to upsell me on anything extra. The service was prompt. I did some quick Google research when I saw the bill. The prices here for the services they rendered

I can't say enough great things about Jax Auto. Jack is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet, and between he and Calvin, we always know we're getting expert advice on what our vehicles ACTUALLY need, and at the most reasonable prices possible. Terrible people!!!!! They absolutely take advantage of nice people. I'm not sure why AAA is still recommending them... even the aaa tow truck driver was saying how dishonest these guys were and over price everything.
Labor was ridiculous.
Jax was telling me that I needed a new belt and rotors.
He told me it was cost $800!!!!!
Was he crazy???? My car is about 15 years old. It's a great running car still but $800 for parts and labor you're nuts.
I ended up towing it to a place much closer to where i live in Buena Park and they are AMAZING such a huge difference. And they charged

So I'm not going to give them 1 star because I didn't have the car fixed here but let me explain. My mom's car broke down after work yesterday and she used a friend's AAA membership to have it towed to the nearest repair shop. I called the shop this morning and explained that it's likely the starter issue. The owner says that they have a $180 diagnostics fee and if they can pinpoint the issue they will give a discount for the actual job. But hold on, I work for a car company and get why they charge a diagnostics fee and even then it's around $150 at the dealership
