Every Tooth Counts Pediatric Dental Center
Every Tooth Counts Pediatric Dental Center is dedicated to moving the oral health of children to the forefront of healthcare by providing comprehensive care in a child-friendly, customer service oriented environment that is technologically astute and surpasses the standard of care.

Studies conducted by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry have shown that children with poor oral health have decreased school performance, because of their inability to concentrate on schoolwork.According to a report issued by the US Surgeon General, the number one reason for visiting the school nurse is dental pain.

Dr. Adetowun Alimi-Ukoha completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois Chicago and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Her passion for educating children and their parents on preventative care methods with the goal of optimizing lifelong oral healthcare habits led her to Every Tooth Counts Pediatric Dental Center.
Usually, the youngest members of our family are the ones wanting to go to the dentist the least. However, dental hygiene is extra important for children. Research has proven time and time again that poor hygiene in young children can contribute to poor oral health later in life. While their "baby teeth" might fall out and be replaced with new and healthy adult teeth, the health of their gums will affect them for the rest of their life.
Yellow teeth can quickly lower a person's self-esteem at any age. It can also make an otherwise healthy smile look uncared for and aged. Today, many children and teens experience yellowed teeth, and this can eat away at their confidence quickly. If no action is taken, the yellow tint of their teeth will remain into their adult years where it can cause further issues for their confidence and self-esteem.
Many children have a fear or phobia of the dentist, while others may not sit still long enough for a procedure to be completed. To help overcome these common problems, there are many safe sedation techniques that will allow your child to have a painless, comfortable, and stress-free experience next time they come to the pediatric dentist.
While cavities are one of the most common dental ailments, that doesn't make them any less dangerous to your oral health. Cavities come in all sizes, ranging from small ones just starting on the surface of your tooth to cavities that, if left untreated, can get to the pulp of your tooth where they can compromise the structural integrity of the tooth and expose the sensitive nerves lying below the dentine.

Both of my kids have been to ETC, one at age 7 for a filling and one at age 23 months for an emergency dental visit (she tripped and hit the sidewalk, poor thing.) I have been so impressed with their bedside manner and how they manage kiddos’ emotions and care but still get the job done. They even watch out for the parents, paying attention to help out in small ways, such as offering to play with my toddler so she would stop crawling all over me while I filled out the paperwork.

I have been bringing my children to Every Tooth Counts since they were little and now they are 20, 18 and 14. The 20 year old was upset when he aged out and had to go to an adult dentist. ETC is like a big family. Everyone from the Front staff, to the hygienist and the Dentist are so Kind, knowledgeable and fun. The office is clean and they definitely adhere to the CDC guidelines and recommendations, especially during this time and as well as pre Pandemic.
I have referred several friends to bring their children to ETC (Every tooth Counts). You will not be disappointed. Everyone please keep up

It was my first time taking my son here and believe me when I say that my kid can be very energetic and outspoken so I’m always on edge because I know everyone isn’t able to handle that kind of character but literally every single person that I interacted with and spoke to was soooo kind to us and treated my son great. My son had a good time there and I’m pleased to know that he will be excited to go back knowing what kind of environment he will be treated in. Great staff!

I have been a client of ETC for the last 13 years, since my youngest was 2 and half. The Drs. and staff are great. The reason for the 2 stars is the unavailability of appointments. As required, I schedule my 3 kids' future visits while onsite - 6 months out. In the past, given that we were scheduling 6 months out, evening and/or weekend appointments were not a problem. You only ran into issues if you needed to reschedule for some reason. While irritating, I took the hit. Now, the practice has gotten so large that I couldn't get an evening or weekend appointment for 7-8 months, even when scheduling

We have been driving our two girls from Beverly (Chicago) to Every Tooth Counts since they were small. Our eldest had a checkup today before going off to college. We have always been given kind attention and support by the entire staff. The girls feel so comfortable there, they actually enjoy going to the dentist and love the personal attention and kid-centered care.

Everything was done in such a timely manner!! Even before we arrived! From Temperature checks, to filling out forms. And my grandson Xavier loves to go!! Especially when he's able to choose a Toy gift, and a new Toothbrush/Toothpaste. The staff and Dentist are so nice and caring.

When it was time for our grandson to see a dentist, it was important that he went to a pediatric group. We are thrilled that our dentist recommended the ETC group. The entire staff is personable, professional, and extremely helpful.
