After beginning as a carpenter's apprentice and working in the field for nearly 20 years in various capacities, Jim got to know the ins and outs of the construction world well. Jim and J Bilt as a company are racist and scared of Detroit. I set up an appointment to get a quote for a new garage construction and was willing to pay cash. I even had to take time off work to make the appointment. Jim drove by and called me without even talking to me in person or walking through my yard and told me he couldn't fit a cement truck in my space and couldn't do the job. Well a cement truck obviously fits because we poured a new foundation a few months prior and because of that we wouldn't even need a cement truck. I have a paved alley behind my house with a double

We had our garage destroyed on July 7, 2020 in a storm with a 60+ ft. tree had fallen on top of it. Just the day prior to the storm, I was driving though a Royal Oak neighborhood and saw a Jay-Bilt construction crew building a garage. I drove through after the storm and called the number on that lawn sign. It was a blessing. Jim was out 2 days later, gave us the estimate which was quite reasonable. After the garage was demolished, concrete set Jim's team was out and had the garage all roughed in in just under 8 hours. Then the siding crew was out. It was the smoothest construction project

I couldn't be happier with the experience. Jim from JayBilt was responsive, thoughtful, and provided plenty of ideas and options for the garage project. Construction went well and the only hiccups we really had were weather and inspection. The response from inspection was quickly cleared up and everything continued. Now I have a beautiful garage that matches my home, and my family and I couldn't be happier. If you've got a big job like this, go with JayBilt.
