Dr. Vincent Vella is a native of Charleroi, Belgium who came to Rochester and arranged residency in 1969. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and biology, summa cum laude from St. John Fisher College and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Buffalo Dental School.

I have been seeing Dr. Vella a long time now. I'm a huge dental phobic.....like.... bad. He is the ONLY dentist I will even let look in my mouth awake. They have earned my trust. And even though I'm always sedated. He is the ONLY dentist I will let touch me or work on me. If you have a phobic, a fear or even if you don't. This is the only dentist and staff I would ever recommend. You will see for yourself.

Very good visit to the dentist. Hygienist did the most through exam I've ever had. Felt she could not do a through cleaning in the time left, so we rescheduled for another time. Very helpful, pleasant and gentle. Dentist great. Decided to watch a tooth rather than rush to fill it. Office staff very efficient and pleasant. the best thing for me was the chairlift to the second floor. No struggling up the stairs with a walker.

I haven’t had a tooth extraction in years. I was a little nervous but praying and trusting in God that everything would go okay. Dr. Vella made feel at ease and comfortable and walked me throughout the whole procedure. I discovered on had a crack in my tooth. I called the office to see if someone would be able to look at it. They were able to see me the same day. Within minutes I had an X-ray done. They discovered I was ready to lose my tooth. They Quickly worked on it right away. Within hours I was able to get a permanent crown. What an amazing office having such high tech equipment. Thank you Dr Vella Dr Attardi, and his amazing staff.

My 1st visit. Previous dentist retired. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The hygienist, Jaimie was fantastic. She made me feel comfortable. Paid attention to my special needs - fear of the dentist. One criticism. When you are a new patient, it’s an assessment visit. My teeth were not cleaned as expected. I was however; complimented on how well I take care of my teeth. Next visit will definitely be a cleaning.

I was in need of dental work and a family member recommended Dr. Vella. I went in for a consultation and Dr. Vella explained my situation to me thoroughly and was so patient and understanding as well. His staff was just as kind and I instantly felt comfortable here. They understood I was nervous. On the day of everything went as explained to me and my post-op pain was so minimal and no swelling. My first visit to this practice was on an emergency basis. I called on Monday morning and was given an appointment for the very next day. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The attending technician made me quite comfortable at an uncomfortable time. My new dentist, Dr. David Attardi, was very kind and understanding of my plight. Needing much dental work done for years. I have put it off because I am an extreme Dental phobic. Needing to be sedated just for dental cleanings. I Then came across and was blessed to meet Dr Vella and his complete supporting staff.

Awful experience.. He distorted my mouth.. He had me in constant pain for 1year & 1/2.. He didn't listen to me as a patient.. I wouldn't have ANYONE go there.. He had me with NO teeth for over a year.. I couldn't bite or chew.. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL with just feeding me pain pills instead of fixing the problem.. I took myself somewhere else to fix my mouth.. Total trauma he caused.. I pray no one else ever goes through the pain and torture I endured with Dr. Vella I Seriously don't recommend him to anyone

He is a complete joke . Nothing more then a snake oil salesman. Definitely get a second opinion before letting him touch you. He will remove teeth and talk you into needless implants to line his pockets without giving you all the options . This is the kind of person that gives all dentists a bad reputation. Then won't even return calls when you confront him about his practices.

I avoid the dentist like it's ..... the dentist. Yeah it doesn't get much worse then the dentist. But I will have to say I just had my wisdom teeth removed and even though the situation sucks I couldn't be more happy with how it went. The entire time I was kept in the loop of how it was going to work. By the time I realized I was getting tired I was being told to wake up. I was so numb I didn't feel a thing and I was on another realm but it was completely painless. They handed me a milkshake and off I went. I am still healing currently and not eating food sucks but I am glad

Note: I also called insurance, who would not assist me as I didn't know the billing codes from the office, so I was dependent on them. The office never told me that even two weeks later they hadn't

Awesome Dental Staff, very kind, courteous and accommodating. Dr. Vella is very well established & connected in the Dental Community and he personally knows my Dentist back in SoCal, so I felt right at home. I've been going to Dr. Vella for years, since getting my wisdom teeth out. I'm afraid of needles, and my teeth are very sensitive even for general cleaning. He's the only dentist that I TRUST. He's patient and understanding, and very slick with a needle. A quick wiggle of the cheek and I didn't even know he did it! I also like that he's not just a general dentist, but an Oral Surgeon as well, so there's added comfort that he really knows what he's doing. There's no other dentist I'll allow to perform work on me, period.
