Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry
Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry is a dental practice that not only focuses on the best oral care for your child, but on making sure that we exceed your expecations in every area of your experience. Our goal is to provide cutting-edge care in an atmosphere of both fun and compassion. Children grow fast and our desire is to be their dental provider throughout their formative years.

Oral health is an important part of a child's growth and we understand that you, as a parent, want the very best. We strive to provide the best for you and your family. Our knowledgeable and caring staff are here to help you with your questions and to make every effort to ensure that your child's visit is as care-free as possible.
Services
Heather Owens is our Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and has been practicing for over 8 years. Heather's experience will help your child feel comfortable and at ease for all their dental cleanings.
Your child's dental care doesn't end when you leave our office. Caring for the mouth after any dental procedure is just as important as the treatment itself. Many complications can be prevented by following a few guidelines. Just a few simple steps will prolong your child's next visit and will help to heal and soothe any discomfort that they may experience.
It is generally recommended that an infant be seen by a dentist by the age of 1 or within 6 months after his or her first tooth comes in. The first dental visit is usually short and involves very little treatment. This visit gives your child an opportunity to meet the dentist in a non-threatening and friendly way.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Having a "Dental Home" helps to establish a relationship with your caregivers and an effective routine in your child's oral care.
