Took my 2009 Camry here for repair. Felix never gave me an estimate to check if the engine needed a valve job and/or the block was good. My fault for not getting an estimate. He gives nothing in writing. Felix called me a week later to tell me the block was no good as it was only at 35% and it would cost $5400 to fix. Much more than a new engine and much more than the car is worth. I told him to forget it and I would pick it up. He then called later that day and said, oh the block should be okay and it was at 75%. My vehicle was in an accident after overcorrecting and hitting a curb, which left the vehicle unable to drive after replacing the cracked wheel with my spare tire. My spouse and I called AAA and they sent us a local tow truck guy whom recommended Felix at J.P Auto.
Felix appeared to be an honest guy who offered affordable prices however the vehicle had notable problems after he said the vehicle was safe to drive and received the receipt which stated a 1 year warranty (or 1,000 miles). He did not offer to look into his own work until we had made three extra attempts to have him look at the car

If I could give ZERO stars i would. i live in Orange County and just our luck our car breaks down in Simi Valley. We trusted our vehicle in Felix's hand and boy did he let us down. The issue with the car was a "broken fuel pump". My husband made numerous trips to the shop and back to the junk yard (in orange county) that sells good condition parts because he claims that it wasn't working. Finally, after 3 attempts he calls to say the fuel pump now works but something is wrong with the engine and it'll cost us $2k to replace. Mind you, this is a 2010 Toyota which was still

I very rarely use Yelp to leave a review. It only happens when I have an amazing or awful experience. No hyperbole, the best experience I have ever had fixing a car was today 8/3/19 at Felix's shop.
