Prevention and early detection are key in avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and gum disease. Periodontal disease is the major cause of tooth loss in adults. Because early periodontal disease is painless and shows few symptoms, patients are often unaware that there is a problem.
Dr. Sadie Mestman and her friendly, capable staff work hard for their patient's comfort and convenience. Dental hygienists are highly trained, college-educated health care providers specializing in the prevention and early detection of tooth and gum disease. They are qualified to perform examinations, remove calcified deposits, apply fluoride treatments, and educate patients in proper methods of dental hygiene.
Your first appointment is usually an exam, teeth cleaning, and any necessary x-rays. Dr. Sadie Mestman will present and discuss your treatment options. If you had x-rays taken by your previous dentist that are less than 5 years old, please have the previous dental office email or mail the x-rays to us.
Our office is located on the southwest corner of Wilshire and La Cienega in Beverly Hills. Dr. Mestman has been at this location for over 25 years. The entrance to our building's parking is on the side of the building that faces La Cienega Blvd. It is the second parking entrance from Wilshire. We validate the first hour and 15 minutes.
In an effort to keep dental costs down while maintaining a high level of professional care, we request payment at the time of service. Full payment is required for dental treatment at the appointment in which the treatment is performed. If assignment or insurance benefit is made to the office, only the estimated co-payment is required.

EXCEPTIONAL! I only wish I had discovered her sooner. Dr. Mestman will be my dentist for the rest of my life! She always spends A LOT of time with me... her staff is wonderful (I could even tell this over the phone the first time I called her office)... she's gentle and kind... she knows/uses the most innovative techniques... her fees are extremely reasonable... her staff even offered to submit claims to my dental insurance (even though she's an out-of-network provider for me.) I can't say enough about Dr. Mestman and her whole team. She's gentle, friendly, wonderful with my kids and makes going to the dentist as pleasant and painless (literally and figuratively) as possible. She puts the care in dental care. She once met me at her office after hours to handle a quasi dental emergency. The thing I will always be most grateful for, however, is her help with my postpartum psychosis about four years ago. During a routine visit she saw how bad a shape I was in, not sleeping, hallucinating, etc. and she arranged for me to see her father, a world-renown endocrinologist

Yes, all those other reviews are true. I have also been going to Sadie for many years and if you look at that photograph and think you see a caring and lovely person you are right, Sadie is a capable perfectionist who is interested in doing the best job and cares about her patients and her profession. She also cares so much about the children she treats and if I were looking for a dentist to take my children to there would be no question it would be Sadie. She even decorates the ceiling with butterflies and other relaxing fun things so you are not just staring at the ceiling when you are in the

Miss sadie and my teeth have been connected for over 20 years. sadie has seen me through cavities, root canals, gum issues, family deaths, personal problems, my career in the food industry, suggestions for holiday meals, etc., etc.
she has been a big part of my life now that i think about it. i have been to many doctors in my life yet none have been so personal than has sadie mestman. yet we are not friends in the strictest sense. we are friendly and we are personal when it comes to the health or at times, non health of my teeth.

I have been going to Sadie for years but last week was the ultimate Doctor/ Patient experience
It was Monday night and my tooth starting aching. I woke up at 2 am Tuesday morning with a major throbbing tooth ache. I was freaking out because I was supposed to be catch a flight and be heading to Shanghai China at 1 pm. What to do?
At 4:30 am I emailed and FB messaged her and at 5:30 am she text me to call her
I called her and explained the pain and she said she could not help me but knew who could

I can't say enough good thins about Dr Mestman. She is professional, a perfectionist and very friendly. I was recommended to her by my daughter who has been a patient for a long time. I needed a dentist who could continue a 2 implant with crowns project started in New York. I could not have hoped for a better result.

I didn't have dental insurance for a few years and went to see Dr. Mestman after some severe tooth pain that could no longer be ignored. I had worked my self into a frenzy by the time I got there and Dr. Mestman did an amazing job of calming me down. She had an assuring and gentle bedside manner, was thorough, and came up with a plan to fix the circus of cavities in my mouth that wouldn't put me in the poorhouse.

I was Sadie Mestman's dental hygienist and one of her best fans. Not only is she technically a good dentist, but she is a great person. Even the kids love her when she puts on a mask for them when they come in. She even does her own measuring of periodontal pockets which can be very tedious to keep an eye on periodontal health and, I suspect, to be sure it is as comfortable as possible since she is very gentle.

Okay, full disclosure, Sadie is my ex-sister -in-law. And she is the best dentist I have ever had. She is so painless that I once fell asleep in the chair while she was filling a tooth.
Her whole staff is friendly and really efficient, there are great magazines in the waiting room, and she validates.

Dr. Mestman is a caring and gentle dentist. She is the first dentist to every properly anesthetize me in 45 years of receiving dental care. My previous experiences with dentistry could be likened to Dustin Hoffman in "The Marathon Man". "Is it safe?" Turns out previous dentists were not adequately applying the anesthesia. Dr. Mestman was patient enough to do the job throughly. I'm a doctor myself and I appreciate good care. Thanks Dr. Sadie!

I call her the painless dentist. I've been going to her for the past 10 years, including my kids. She does a terrific job, is always clear with her communications, never leaving me to doubt what is going on. The KIDS LOVE HER. She happily addresses any questions or concerns I have. She has replaced fillings for me, and each time I am amazed at how painless the entire procedure is. I can't recommend her enough - after going through countless dentists (I'm 47), I'm done. She's my dentist from now on.

My own childhood dental experiences approimated those of Dustin Hoffman in "Marathon Man," so I routinely refer to dentists as sadists without much regret. We never even heard of novocaine at my dentist's office and the slow drill was his tool of choice.
But my kid had to go to the dentist. Sadie Mestman was recommended to us and she started going at around 3 and she is now 15, our other kid is 11, and both are very satisfied patients. They LOOK FORWARD to going to the dentist, a trip I regarded as second only to being given the up close and personal tour of Auschwitz.

When i first moved to LA, I needed a dentist and a co-worker recommended Dr. Mestman to me. I have never in my life been to a better dentist than Dr. Mestman, and my teeth have never been in better shape! Her staff is warm and friendly, the facilities are clean, and she makes sure that she sees you every appointment after the dental hygienist is done with their cleaning. From kids to adults you will not find a better dentist for you and your teeth!

From teeth cleaning to a cavity they make it a fun and painless experience. If you have kids I wouldn't look further, bring em here! She also takes adults as well!

Nice lady, questionable ethics. I needed a lot of work when I first saw her several years ago. For some reason, after one visit she simply decided not to treat me. She was not very clear about communicating her reasons, offered no referral (other than to an endodontist) and that was that. I thought we enjoyed a friendly visit and her attitude afterwards was puzzling. She acted with disregard for my health needs, and that raises doubts about her overall practice and attitude toward her patients.

Dr. Mestman is a really great dentist if you're looking for a "home" dentist on the Westside. She is really nice, honest, straightforward and gives you good tips about taking care of your teeth. I feel like my mouth is always healthy after a visit there and I know that they'll tell me if I'm messing up somehow (thankfully, my teeth are in pretty good shape).
