Dr. Matt Bayless is a native Texan who was raised in Dallas. He is a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Bayless moved south to the Hill Country in 2005 to be a part of the Bulverde/Spring Branch community and to provide his wide range of dental services to its residents and those of surrounding communities.

A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bayless since he opened Summer Hill Dental. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. He and his staff are professional, friendly and caring. I have never been pressured to have a dental procedure and have always received a detailed explanation when one is recommended.

The hygienist at my first appointment was great. My filling appointment was horrible. Instead of filing my teeth where the new fillings were to recreate the shape of my tooth to fit the retainer, my brand new $300 retainer was drilled into and created a hole. I had to go back and have my filling filed down because they were rough and my bite still wasn’t correct. Then I was charged incorrectly and refunded but never got a bill and apparently instead of sending a bill, they send to collections. A bill would have been sufficient. I have informed delivery so i see every piece of mail that comes

Dr. Bayless and his team if professionals are terrific. He fitted my husband with an oral device (sort of like a retainer) which has virtually eliminated his snoring! Yea, no cumbersome machines ... instead a very easy-to-use mouth piece. Now my husband says I need to talk to Dr. Bayless about MY snoring.....who knew??? . (P.S. I made the appointment today!). RW

Dr. Bayless is wonderful! His hygienist are also very gentle and understand how to handle people with fear of going to the dentist (that's me!) His office is state of the art... my son absolutely loves that he can watch TV while he's getting his teeth cleaned! We've been very very pleased with the service and care we've received from Summer Hill Dental. I will say that Dr. Bayless is very popular dentist so don't wait to make an appointment they fill up quickly!

Office seems modern and clean enough. Staff seems friendly enough. I've had a couple visits there in the last year or so. The hygienist, Lynda, is outstanding. She's very friendly, very professional, and is very careful during her cleanings.
Dr. Bayless seems friendly and competent. Seems trustworthy. My only concern is the office seems a little gimmicky when it comes to pushing products like the anti-snoring devices. Leave the sleep apnea stuff to the MDs, please.
