What is good Christian therapy? If you've ever wondered, you're not alone-many people have wanted to know. It's important to know, because (as you'll quickly see when you set out to find a therapist) there are some Christians who do bad therapy, and some non-Christians who do good therapy, and all kinds in between!
I believe my role in walking along side clients in their journey through what s often called the "unknown" is a place that God has called me. Improving communication skills and strengthening relationships are typically a focus of therapy. I have over 18 years experience as a Private Practice Clinician, including five of those years prior to licensure as an intern.
You'll find an accepting, kind, and supportive setting in which you can safely explore, grow, and be restored to a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle. You can gain awareness of the inconsistencies between your behavior and your beliefs/values. You can become aware of non-verbal and verbal communication that hinders you from developing healthy relationships.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my 31 years of experience have been to provide both psychotherapeutic counseling as well as a wide variety of health and medical social work services. I work with adults of all ages (18 to 108!). Each decade has its own challenges and anxiety, depression, addictions, insecurities, relational issues, health and other issues of all kinds can hamper us at any age.
