Services
We encourage our practice members to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.
At Altoona Family Chiropractic, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic care to each and every patient. We have included information below about the different chiropractic services offered in our Altoona chiropractic office, but please call us at (515) 967-7169 if you have any questions!
We understand that arriving at a chiropractic office for the first time can be nerve racking. If you've never experienced chiropractic care before, you may not know what to expect when you come to our Altoona chiropractic office for the first time. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.
In some ways, one could say that chiropractic care is a bit like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly. When building a house, if you tried to build your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually may even collapse.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Jeffery Christensen to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Jeffery Christensen to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

I was very nervous about seeing a chiropractor because I’d had back surgery and have hardware in my spine. Dr Jeff was very patient, careful, and understanding of my situation. He takes great care near where my surgery site is so that I am never in any kind of pain. He has helped me as well as my husband and children to deal with all kinds of musculoskeletal issues from back and hip pain to shoulder bursitis, tennis elbow, and plantar fasciitis. We highly recommend him.

I used to go to a different chiropractor about 5 years ago and for some reason, I decided to give Altoona Family Chiropractic a try. I am hooked and have never looked back. Dr. Jeff and Joyce are so friendly and kind there. I've had issues in the past with my shoulder and Dr. Jeff worked out my kinks and suggested certain exercises to making it heal quicker. I enjoy going once a month and just getting readjusted. I feel refreshed after I leave. And if I ever have any other complications or pains, Dr. Jeff adjusts my schedule accordingly! Would highly recommend!!
