Darryl and Dave are stand-up guys. Super honest and they do great work. They have kept my 2006 Prius running, well past the 200,000 mile mark (currently at around 230,000 miles and I'm crossing my fingers I can hit 250k!) Their communication is great and their work is pretty quick considering how busy they always are. Out of warranty, I'll always bring my car here.

Dropped $4000 on a reconditioned battery for my hybrid Toyota. 19 months and 27k miles later the battery was toast. I did drop my car off with them after waiting a week for an appointment. Despite driving the national average...they tried to blame it on excessive annual mileage (~15k every year the car was driven). Their warranty offered on the battery was 12 months and they offered no exception to the policy. They also offered $2000 for the car after I told them I was not going to proceed doing the same battery swap another time after I completely lost faith in them.

Several oil changes and safety checks, tires, diagnosis and repair of brake problems, battery questions on my 2011 camry hybrid and 2008 Highlander Hybrid. When they discovered the batteries were going bad on my Highlander they recommended I call Toyota and the factory warranty got me a replacement battery for free. They wouldn't even accept payment for the diagnosis.
Always fair and always find a way to fit you in even though they are a super busy shop.

These guys are my new heroes!!! My used Prius (new to me) showed a disturbing triangle exclamation point light come on Friday late I called masakis first thing Monday am and they said they were very busy and could take me Friday. I booked for Friday They offered to let me know if a cancellation/no show came up before that. It is now Monday afternoon and I have my car back fixed and happy! They managed to fit me in, fix my car, and not break the bank all within a a few hours of my original call. They know what they are doing, inspired confidence, are simply lovely people as well I

Never had any problems with my little Prius c. Took it there to get engine and transmission oil change then few days after my headlights started going crazy. Maybe just a coincidence. They seem to be very competent but lack customer service. They are very busy and it seems that they are happy with their current customers and don't need new ones. You need to make an appointment and drop off your car. So you gotta have someone to pick you up or have more than one car because it will stay there for awhile.

Dave and Darryl are friendly and great. I had my white toyota prius brought in to have a catalytic converter reinstalled and to get a water intake replaced. They were helpful and finished the work in a reasonable amount of time. They made sure to call prior to explain the issues and made a price quote. Highly recommend.

This was my first time using this shop, I was very impressed with them. They were able to accommodate me pretty quick and they told me what was wrong and what needed to be ordered and about how long it would take. They even suggested to do another preventative type maintenance but after doing it they found out it should have been done earlier because the part was already damaged. I'm thankful that they went the extra mile by offering it to me with no pressure. It saved me a trip back. They must be very well trained in everything hybrid! I've owned my Prius since 2012 and it's been relatively trouble free. However, getting an appointment has been problematic at Mapunapuna because of the size of the service department. Someone suggested Masaki's in Moilili and I went there when I couldn't get an appointment at Servco Mapunapuna.
They are certified Prius mechanics and know exactly what do to keep your Prius running.

Daryl Masaki Auto Repair has been working on my Kia cars since 2014. They quickly do diagnostics and repair it. He has excellent and knowledgeable certified mechanics who do excellent work. I'm grateful to know a Master Mechanic!!! I'm very particular of who repair my cars.

Being a Prius owner and using this car on Uber, I've had to take my car to a fair share of mechanics and decided to try someone new and stumbled across of Masaki's. Used their google forms to request a service/appt and Dave called about a few hours later. Could already tell over the phone that Dave was extremely polite and friendly.
He was able to work on and finish my car the same day it was brought in, thoroughly explained everything and gave a few recommendations that he was honest about and said could wait in the future for.

My Prius stalled on me and I had to have my car towed in. They were easy to get hold of and called me to inform me with every step. As a matter of fact, they were able to diagnose it (water pump) before I even left the shop. They were very reasonable and even had it ready the same day! They were so professional and kind. They take pride in their work. ( Not like a lot of places who have stressed out employees and tempers short. ) Take your car here! You will be so happy you did!

Hands down this was the best customer service I've ever had at a mechanic shop. Brought in my old Prius when the dead battery lights came on, and they took the time to explain to me how the battery works and how they will fix it, with rough price estimates. They didn't talk down to me, and I was so appreciative!
It ended up being more expensive than I expected though (over $2700 to fix the battery... not worth it for what I paid for the car, and was more than what they had explained to me initially). I also didn't appreciate that they changed my back licence plate cover to theirs

So glad fellow Prius Yelpers yelped good stuff about Masaki's. Daryl returned my phone message and took my Prius the next day. No three week wait like at Toyota. He communicated well and searched the best price for the part needed. Car was ready next day.
