Bumpa's Local #349

My husband and I were just passing through and found this place. Our salads (Fried goat cheese w/chicken) and skirt steak) were amazing! Our bartender Cody was simply the best!
If we lived here we would definitely be regulars!

We rolled into Tallahassee dog tired. Went to my go to Yelpers! Bumpas#349 was not on my hotel suggested restaurant list, but I am always curious what is rated high by the elites. Didn't get steered wrong. Grace our server was very helpful in suggestions and answered many of our questions. Friendly service and a great meal for the weary. Philly cheesesteak beef tender and just the right amount of peppers and chess. Had the onion dip and house made chips! So very tasty.

We had the Penne a la Vodka with blackened shrimp, the Cheddar Ranch Burgar with fries, and the blue cheese fries appetizer. All of it was delicious! The appetizer was so big, I took all of my pasta home. Love the atmosphere and that they have a dog friendly patio. Service was great...very attentive. Will definitely go back and try other dishes. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it was freezing in there!

Great ribs and casual atmosphere. Service was a bit slower on our visit today, but not unusual for many area restaurants. Not happy about a very confusing signs announcing that the restaurant is imposing a fee for credit card use. However, it specifically states, "Our menu reflects cash price. We are now imposing a surcharge on all credit card payments, that is not greater than the cost of our fee". In small print it also states, "Bottom line there is a slight increase for use of credit cards". Take out the ambiguous part "that is not greater than the cost of our fee" and it would be pretty clear

I got the cajun alfredo and it was delicious!! My mom and I split it and it was the perfect amount of food. If you like sharing meals or leftovers, like me, it's the perfect amount of food. I wish I had a photo, but I was so excited I couldn't wait!

Was crowded due to it being a game day. We were able to get a table right away. The waitress was very helpful. They have a large menu and everything sounds great. We ordered the pretzel and it was one of the best. My daughters had burgers and both of them were huge. I had the Buffalo chicken po boy and it was also very good. The Brussels sprouts and max and cheese were great as sides. Also liked the homemade chips. We were only able to eat 1/2 or sandwiches and took the rest home. Would definitely share next time or just have apps. Weekly drink specials looked great. Looking forward to returning

So close to my neighborhood and I have tried to love this place. The food is typical frozen foods deep fried or heated up, and the service is super slow. Today was a first, and actually provided endless entertainment. No one at the bar because they were all out in the parking lot drinking, smoking and playing with cars. We had to walk in to the kitchen to ask if we could get service. Every one of our orders was wrong. Chicken instead of shrimp, medium rare burger with no cheese instead of well done with cheese, and a wrong cocktail. Endless waits since everyone was in the parking lot. It was like

We always have a great time at bumpa's. The stuff is amazing and super friendly. I recommend the mojito (it's made fresh) and the pretzel!

My overall experiences was so so... Very loud Bar with high ceilings. Our waiter was obviously not interested in great service it slow and unconsistent. My tea was empty for a long time. Our food was slow and when delivery to table only part of your food with no exclamation why. I ordered Grilled Cheese with side sweet potato tater tots. My sandwich was very good but cold. Yes i know i would send back our waiter was gone for along while. Everyone in my group enjoyed there food. Sorry one star lacking in many areas. Simply treat people as you want to be treated.

Bumpa's has consistently fit whatever mood my taste buds are having and appealed to even the pickiest of eaters I have had in tow. Whether I be dropping into Bumpa's for a dinner or lunch with friends or my husband, there is always something to share or feast upon while watching games or being entertained by karaoke (pre-pandemic but I hope it comes back!). Their Tokyo Drift wings are unique with a bit of Asian flare and a tinge of spice to help tickle the taste buds of the more adventurous foodie. It's a fun place. It has an unusual menu as in fried bologna sandwich 🥪 . That I grew up on. The server was great. The drinks were nice. The huge TVs were fun. But the food was not special, my Mahi was dry and daughters hamburg was boring. There is outside seating. There weren't many masks.

We have enjoyed the food, locale and atmosphere on several occasions. The patio is great, esp. for larger groups. The only downside is probably how loud the band gets inside. Otherwise, fun place for happy hour, watching sports and grabbing a yummy meal.

This is the 4th time we've been here and the food is consistently excellent. The burger i had (black n blue) was cook perfectly medium rare. Hubby had the Philly Cheesesteak and he was very happy with it. The fries are thick and crunchy steak fries which were seasoned salty just the way I love them. Hubby had the local 850 draft and it was frosty cold and perfect he said. Highly recommend this place! Our server, same one each time, is the bomb!!!

Nickels and diming customers.
They charged $2 for pickles for my patty melt. The wateress never said anything about that $2 when I asked for pickles. Who charges $2 for pickles?
Next, it'll be an upcharge for the lemons in my water.

Service is about as bad as it comes for Tallahassee. Not blaming the waitress or the grill staff. May be management, but they can't handle a busy night. 30mins before we had a waitress. Food was good, but certainly not worth the 1.5 hour wait. Probably won't be back. Should've went to island wings!

Such an awesome experience! GREAT FOOD and GREAT SERVICE! Owner swung by and talked to us about the history and to check on us….true customer service and great food for you foodies out there! Highly recommend!

First time eating here and we'll definitely come back! Very clean, spacious restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Food was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. I enjoyed the South Sothwest Tacos with fried brussel sprouts. Very yummy!

Great relaxed chill outdoor atmosphere!!! Wait staff was just fabulous. JoJo our server is just the best. Drinks were served cold and food was delicious and hot just like we like it. Cannot say enough good things!!! Highly recommend stopping in for any occasion

Really really really enjoyed our experience here! My boyfriend and I came after a recommendation from a friend, and wow... so glad we did. The service was very good, the atmosphere was open and friendly, and the food was delicious. My guilty pleasure is Mahi Reuben, so when I saw it on the menu, I had to try. Incredible dish! And the side of Mac and cheese was high quality and savory. Great selection of alcohol and the server was knowledgeable about all food and drinks. Highly recommend.

Great local joint to eat! The service was fantastic and Ariana took great care of us, as if we were family. Would love to eat here again when we head this way. The food was very yummy and the kids especially loved the bleu fries. Support local, support families!

Great food. Used to be a regular spot. Love the blue cheese chips, fish sandwiches-every single one is amazing. Pretty in Pink yum! Fish & chips - best fried fish I've had in a while. Blackened dauphin - so tasty.
They do forget stuff on to-go orders (drinks once, sauces two other times) which is the only downside I've found. Still, one of my faves!

We have been to Bumpas a few times because they have no problem showing sports, soccer in particular, but while the staff have always been excellent they're beer choice is often lacking and their food (especially for the prices they charge) isn't bad par se, but never great and certainly never worth the price!
I'd go again if a friend insisted, but I'd never choose to waste my money there voluntarily.

Another stop at Bumpas for an early supper & just gotta say- these bartenders & servers can't be beat. Today, thanks Tammy for unbeatable service again. Tony is great too. The food - well, kudos to the kitchen, Cajun Alfredo hits the spot.

Egg roll things are awesome! Burger, Fried bologna sandwich and the Brussel Sprouts were great! Fries are fries... Service was great! Atmosphere was really cool and was good to see sports on all the TVs.

We had higher hopes for Bumpa's operations during Covid-19. The server was excellent but we were disturbed by the lack of social distancing in place. It was packed inside without any kind of spacing of tables in the dining room or at the bar. It was very crowded by the bar with parties of 12+. People were bumping into my back and purse because they were so close to our table. We regret dining in and will do curbside next time.

I am a fan of Bumpa's. It's a place I like to take friends who are in from out of town. I like to sit at the bar, drink a beer with my meal and maybe get an Old Fashioned after. My favorite entrees are the Pretty In Pink (seared tuna sandwich with pickled ginger and wasabi) and the Bologna Sandwich (a seared slab of bologna with sauerkraut, romesco and melted white cheddar). The Bumpa Rolls make for a great appetizer, and the fried Brussels sprouts are my favorite side.

Great food/great atmosphere. I've finally made it to Bumpa's to check it out. I've driven by here I don't know how many times, plus I've heard nothing but great things about this place. I chose to grab some food and watch some college championship football games in the process (wanted a spot with lots of TVs and a full bar). Bumpa's met the challenge.

I ordered the Bumpa's burger with sweet potato tots (see the menu pic). This is now my favorite burger in Tallahassee! It was cooked perfectly and came out fairly quickly. I chose the "Tallahassee Donkey

Last night I had dinner with a friend whom I have not seen in almost 20 years. I had suggested this place because I passed it when I was going to work today and thought it looked interesting. Tonight was trivia night and I have to say very interesting questions. Kendall was our waitress big shout out for her, she was excellent! Very customer centered, asked open ended questions, was able to talk about the various things on the menu and make Suggestions that were spot on.

Bumpa's has a sports bar/biker bar/american legion hall feel all rolled into one that actually seems to work for them. The whole place is relaxed and let's you enjoy a beer and burger with your buddies while chatting or watching a game. I went with the pimento burger with roasted brussel sprouts last time I was in and loved them! Pimento adds a great creaminess and zip to a burger and the South just knows how to do a burger right! Well I'll be darned! I wrote this place off back when they first opened in February after someone posted some pics of the menu on Yelp. My reaction was that they took forever to open and that simple, uninteresting menu was all they could come up with? The few less than pleased reviews posted to Yelp shortly thereafter made me sure I wouldn't waste my time.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, a friend raved about their fried bologna sandwich, brussel sprouts and sweet potato tots and I decided maybe I should check them out. Sure am glad that I did.
