I specialize in providing counseling for individuals and couples who are experiencing distress in their relationships or personal lives. If you're looking for a good psychotherapist, I encourage you to find a professional who is truly qualified and with whom you "click".

Engaging in therapy is an important personal and financial decision and you don't want to limit yourself to the people who just happen to be nearby or on the list provided by your insurance company.Finding someone who "gets you" is vital to how effective your therapy will be. I hope these web pages will begin to give you some sense of whether or not I would be the right therapist for you.
Services
At this time, I am seeing all of my clients virtually, via a secure, online portal. If this will be your first appointment with me and we have not yet spoken, I'll give you a call to confirm your appointment and talk briefly about your goals for therapy.

If this will be your first appointment, be sure to download the appropriate documents below, fill them out, and either email them to me before our first session or bring them with you if we will be meeting in person.
People come to counseling for a lot of different reasons, and it's impossible to define the many concerns and difficulties people experience with a simple list of symptoms and labels. You may look at such a list and find that you have some of the concerns listed, but not others. You may even find that your situation is nothing like any of the ones listed.
Does it seem as if you and your partner argue and argue and never get anywhere? Maybe you start out trying to talk about one thing and end up fighting about another. There might even be things you need to talk about but end up ignoring all together because you don't want to have another fight. However it happens, neither of you ever feels heard and nothing gets resolved.
Being a therapist was not my first career. It was a path I choose later in life after learning first hand the power of good therapy. Like most of us, I've had my own challenges. I've known the pain of divorce and the joys of a wonderful marriage. I'm a parent and a step-parent and have experienced all of the hurts and triumphs that come with both roles.
If you've never been in therapy before, you might have some questions about what to expect. Let me tell you a little about how it might look for you. An essential part of therapy is the development of a sense of trust and confidence between the therapist and the client. Many of us have spent lifetimes never feeling like we were heard, acknowledged or appreciated.

Jeri is great! She is welcoming and makes it very easy to open up to her. She greatly improved mine and my boyfriends communication skills. Would definitely recommend to others and go back.
