Rudyard Vance is the best accountant and tax preparer I've ever had. He's meticulous, professional, and, most of all, easy to work with. He's done my taxes for 20 years, including some complex business and inheritance matters, and I've never had a problem. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, he understands the tax laws far better than most tax preparers, which is a real plus when you have complicated situations. It is seriously not my style to give bad reviews - but I feel compelled to warn people about this guy's lack of responsiveness and pretty bad attitude. It's unfortunate because he came recommended by close friends and I always prefer giving my money to local businesses rather than huge corporations like H&R Block....
It's a long story, but suffice it to say I had used him to redo my 2008 taxes and then really needed my 2010 taxes done so I could start paying 2011 quarterly estimates. Mr. Vance never got back to my email about this, so I finally called him 4 days later and emailed

I would highly recommend Mr. Vance to anyone who needs accounting tax work done. Admit it, those IRS forms are really confusing and you'd rather not deal with them.

This guy is actually high on accounting.
Rudyard Vance- he's the man...
Ok- last year this guy got me back so much money that I thought it was an April Fool's joke when he called me with the #s-- yes it was on April 1, but no, he wasn't kidding!
I'm hoping this year goes just as well- will update afterwards...but thus far he has kept his word of getting me the "best darn tax return possible!"
