San Marcos delivers great service and food consistently. I've had multiple experiences with different staff and they're all happy and helpful
The food is texmex done very well and they have a few authentic recipes like lomo saltado and guisado. For the texmex it seems they spice the food better compared to other texmex styles around the city
The location has parking all around it, and the entrance/exit is on the SE corner of the edificio. The lots can be accessed off of MacArthur and on 40th
With covid and hygiene I only gave 4 stars, but the mens restroom doesnt have a functioning

I can never say enough about Erik and his crew. They're always friendly and patient, even when they're slammed. We were visiting home and I had to have some San Marcos magic. It was scrumptious, I subbed shredded beef for the ground beef in one of my enchiladas and it was a great idea. It's been quite wild since the pandemic began and from the start Erik and his team have worked to help the community as much as they can, folks were panicking about their next possible meal and they stepped in to help just how neighbors should. He offered meals to linemen and other emergency workers

It was a little busy when myself and a couple of friends went. We had to wait a little bit before being seated but it wasn't bad at all. The setup was good and my nachos were good. My friend had the vegetarian plate and she said it was amazing. The inside wasn't what I expected since it's a little dated so don't expect much. My margarita was good but I would only get one next time if I went on the day when they're $5.

This is the best restaurant!! We come here several times a week. If you want the best food, drinks, customer service, this is your place. The owner Erik and all of his employees treat you like family. We love everything about San Marcos #4. Also, good music, fun atmosphere! We are lifetime customers and we would recommend to ANYONE! This place is beyond 5 stars. We've never ordered anything that's been bad. Top notch EVERYTHING.

My go to restaurant. Been going there since they opened and have never been disappointed. Great food and great people. The service is excellent, it doesn't get any better. I like that they aren't complacent either, they keep upping their game by adding menu items and specialty items that they post on their Facebook. Don't stop at the food though because the drinks are excellent as well!

I had heard good things about this place but really the food was just ok. The prices were reasonable though and the servers were good. The tamales were a highlight but were on the small side. The sour cream sauce lacked flavor, I wish I wouldn't have swapped out the chili that topped my entreé originally.

I am a fan of the San Marcos restaurant chain, this location was good but there were a few things that could be better. It took a while to get our drinks and place our order. We had to ask to have our chips and salsa and refilled for our party of 4. We had a bit of a wait on our food so we asked for refills, as well as our drinks drinks. The food came out hot and fresh, and I ordered a dish room that I usually order at other San Marcos locations, my only issue with my order was my shrimp were a bit overcooked. SO GOOD. My boyfriend is a member of the "Fat Guy Club" on Facebook and this restaurant is famous on there for awesome platters etc. As soon as our waitress heard he was a member she volunteered an idea for a delicious and popular platter. Ribs, fajitas (steak, chicken and shrimp), fried shrimp, flautas and a bowl of their fantastic white queso. My boyfriend and I were in awe! Every single bite was delicious! I also ordered a margarita on the rocks and it was perfect as well. Can't wait to come back!!
