Dr. Peter W. Mohn, Jr. graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2005. He spent his first year of practice in Platte City and then four years as an associate of Dr. Charles Kimes in Overland Park. He then returned to Platte City to once again provide your family's dental care.
Dr. Mohn offers a full range of dental services and procedures to help you maintain a beautiful and healthy smile. We recommend that you have a minimum of two teeth cleaning appointments every year. These appointments include a dental examination, all appropriate x-rays, and the removal of all tartar, plaque, and stains.
When Dr. Mohn returned to Platte City to continue practicing dentistry, he chose a location that has been serving the community's dental needs for over 25 years. While the location is not new, Dr. Mohn is creating a new environment filled with healthy smiles and the latest in dental care. Dr. Mohn's office is equipped with a pano x-ray machine for full panoramic x-rays.

In our Platte City office, you'll start your visit with a dental technician who will remove any plaque and tartar from your teeth and gums.
It is important to follow instructions after you have oral surgery to ensure proper healing and to avoid complications. As a rule of thumb, you should wait two hours after oral surgery before eating to let the anesthesia wear off. Trying to eat before this could result in soft tissue damage because you are not able to feel all of your mouth.

Highly recommend Dr. Mohn and his office staff. I’ve been there four or five times this year for normal check-ups and a few follow-on silver filling replacements for two fillings that were over 30 years old. One needed a crown. The office is very efficient, personable, respectful, and friendly. I’ve always been seen on time. They share the tooth photos with you so you know the what and why of a recommendation. And Dr. Mohn or his staff follow up the next day to make sure all is well. I’m happy I chose them when I moved here over a year ago.

The staff here is super friendly and welcoming! Along with my experience here..they did a great job on my teeth, BUT I unfortunately have left an unhappy customer. I explained throughly my pains I was having with my teeth on a certain side, but they ended up only working on the opposite side, leaving me in pain longer, and having to reschedule for a 3rd appointment. I’ve decided to just go elsewhere to fix the side I needed addressed immediately due to this issue. Otherwise, this is a lovely family dentist that I would recommend mainly for children or families!

I have been a regular client of Peter Mohn DDS for a number of years now. The service has always been good. Dr. Mohn has never served without a smile, Sydney has always been able to help especially with the troubles of my changing insurance, and the cleanings have been consistent. Without their direct service I would have had extremely poor dental conditions, but they have saved me from those troubles.

Dr Mohn was kind enough to see my husband last month and replaced an old bridge he had received many years ago from another dentist. He wasn’t even a regular patient of his and he went out of his way to help him. This practice clearly deserves 5 stars! Absolutely wonderful people. My husband also had to have an emergency root canal and Dr Mohn was so patient and helpful with referring him to a well respected Endondonist. Just thinking about going to the dentist makes me anxious. Dr.Mohn and his staff are great at handling my anxiety. They are friendly, professional, and encouraging. Also, upon their recommendation, we purchased a Sonic care, and it's been our favorite oral care gadget we have used...it's even helped me desensitize to vibrations which in the past either made me cry or laugh (both embarrassing!). So, if a ninny like I have been, this may be the dentist for you!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Peter Mohn and his staff. Dr. Mohn is an excellent dentist and hands-down a class act! My family and I have been going to him for many years. He is thorough and… diligent in his work and intent on making sure his patients are comfortable and happy. He often calls you the next day after a procedure to make sure you are doing okay. His staff is helpful, professional and knowledgeable. You can tell they love their jobs. I would recommend this dentist to anyone and everyone!

Having some bad experiences in the past I was nervous who to take my kids to. I choose Dr. Mohn a year ago based on the reviews I read. Well they didn't disappoint.
