Age To Age Counseling
Our group offers traditional and alternative Mental Health therapies for adults, adolescents and children in the Albuquerque area. Individual, group and family therapy sessions in addition to psychological testing for adults are routinely available. Clients also have access to adjunctive therapeutic modalities such as Restorative Yoga, Meditation Classes and Reiki services.
Services
We envision Age to Age Counseling, PC as a wellspring for growth and empowerment of community members and mental health professionals. Through the development of professional wellness activities and retreats, we envision a setting in which professionals from throughout the southwest may cultivate their gifts and talents, recharge and return to the field with an increased sense of wellness, and capacity for support and healing.
The western-based medical field has recently acknowledged benefits of yoga for soothing the Central Nervous System, reducing blood pressure, and relieving symptoms of anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress. Research has also indicated yoga practice is effective for helping individuals with traumatic background more effectively tolerate sensory and environmental stimulation responsible for triggering symptoms of reactivity and hyper-vigilance.
Graduate level students in Social Work, Counseling and Art Therapy Programs may be eligible for one of a limited number of intensive internship opportunities. We meet CACREP accreditation standards and guidelines, and are familiar with state licensing standards for Counselors, Social Workers and Art Therapy students.

I divorced Age to Age over a compliment. I should have divorced Rhondas' services when my records where transfered from Manzanita without my prior consent. The question now is is demanding an apology on the answering machine a valid order from the owner of a counseling service? I gave the receptionist a compliment; don't ask me how it was twisted?

Came to them long ago for a court mandate. Was assigned to them. Gave em a chance. More of a float by kinda place. I went back after a severe brain injury. Crying and sobbing uncontrollably. Yet Liz was not helpful. I tried another. Not much better. This one at least sorta listened. But lovely enough i see her falling asleep many times, i hear her texting when its a phone session. Constantly almost looked down on over and over for being a cannabis patient. Life is tremendously hard for me as it is with my brain injury and life time of struggles and abuse. Yet coming here I dont tend to feel much

I’ve had no problems with the staff or therapist. I’ve been through 6 councilors in which I was told I was to “severe” to get help and I finally found a place that took the challenge! It’s been a great experience so far!

This is not the worst I have ever been to but they are really bad. I tried to get an appointment for counseling for my Autism and Anxiety. I couldn't even get them to call me back. On the first phone call I made the guy assured me that he would call me back but said to call in a week if i didn't I called about a week and a half later and had to argue with too people just to try and get scheduled. I was being very polite but i was getting annoyed with them so I decided to not even schedule an appointment. They should learn to be more organized about making appointments and call people back. Overall my experience here was good. The counselor I was working with was relatively new, and so I felt like I didn't get as much help as I needed--just because I needed a more experienced counselor. I left when I was able to get in with a more specialized clinic elsewhere, but I appreciated the kindness of my therapist. And if you are in need of good talk therapy, I would recommend this place, but perhaps not if you need more in-depth therapy.

Great staff, easy to book appointments with new patient appointments available much sooner than other behavioral health providers.

Amazing practice, with multi-pronged approach and client-centered care, rather than money focused, which is amazing. Extremely progressive work, PTSD treatment options are phenomenal. In my 48 years, and having tried many therapists, this is by far the most positive experience I have had. They even offer restorative yoga classes for clients on a donation basis twice a week that are incredibly helpful for trauma survivors. I cannot recommend this practice or Rhonda Neswold-Potter highly enough. It has changed my life in dramatic ways in just a matter of months.

I have so much anger for this place... I had to go here for a psych evaluation before I could have my surgery. I wasn’t approved and wasn’t told why. Instead I had to see a counselor there. I went through TWO counselors who had no idea on what I needed to be approved. I worked so hard and did everything I needed to... after a stupid long time I started to lose hope.. and the place stopped doing the surgery so I did everything for nothing all because of this place.. I lost my chance.. and my insurance isn’t taken at the only other place that can help me.. thanks a lot for ruining my life!

Shawne is an amazing counselor that has worked with my kiddo for about a year now. I originally sought her out a few years ago when we lost my Dad and both of my kiddos saw her for about 6 months. Then when my youngest started having behavioral concerns at home, Shawne once again stepped in and has helped both my kiddo and myself with how to handle such concerns.

The staff is always pleasant and there has never been an issue with insurance, billing or calls back. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a family counselor to see Shawne. I wasn't able to give it 5 stars only because

Can't get a call back. The receptionist is helpful, courteous and very professional. Made a call week before last they said I would get a call within 48 hours that was on Tuesday. I finally called them Friday. Then Monday I waited for a call. Finally late in the afternoon I called again. I was told my son had been assigned a therapist her last name Rudolf and she should have already called earlier in the week. Still no contact. Crazy!
