When asked to describe where we're located, sometimes the easiest thing to say is "we're 5 hours west of Denver". This area is called the Western Slope (of the Rockies). The Rocky Mountains are to the east, and the Uncompahgre Plateau to the west. Our little area of the Western Slope is further defined by our rivers.
