I have unfortunately never been able to try the food because for the last two Saturdays in a row, there's always been a reason to why they can't serve us right when we enter.
Last week it was because within a half hour of opening they said they couldn't seat us because someone working there was sick and they just seated two large tables. Although the parties weren't going to be there all night, and we said we could wait, she said they weren't taking anyone for the rest of the night.
This weekend apparently, again within seconds of walking in, we were informed they wouldn't be able to seat anyone

I've been a vegetarian for almost 10 years and it was refreshing to see all the options available for not only vegetarians but also vegans. Most restaurants will throw a few veg friendly items on the menu as an after thought but this establishment went out of their way and created a phenomenal selection on par with the rest of their menu. The vegan menu was awesome and very creative, everything texturally was on point ( firm with just enough of a chew). Definitely a place worth trying out and supporting.

This place is awesome. Great food, good atmosphere, servers are very nice. Unfortunately I have to give this rating due to being turned away twice now when the restaurant isn’t even half full, one of those times having called ahead to make sure we would be seated. I highly recommend this place for great Japanese food but you better hope you get lucky enough to be seated.

I have been to Kotobuki several times in the past and their food has always been delicious and I’ve never had a bad experience. Tonight, my boyfriend, sister and I presented there and informed the staff that we had a party of six, as a few friends were going to come join us. I noticed several empty tables throughout the restaurant and one large table that can fit six people that was full. I was informed that they could not accommodate a party of six, and was told to have a good night. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years, and have spent over three of those years hosting

This is the best Japanese food I've ever had. After talking to the owner I found out the place has been there for 27 years and for good reason. Everything I ordered was fresh and just tasted so authentic and made with love which is something that I think is really rare in a restaurant. I really could go on, but it's a really cool atmosphere and amazing food. Will definitely return.

Well, after being at many sushi spots, it is difficult to really wow me with it. Even with living in Japan it was tough finding some sushi that got me really amazed. Still, I have found it. This here is not it. It was actually below average, and I was disappointed on lack of flavor. The presentation was decent but did not seem to show much effort outside of wanting to be different. We waited quite some time for our food to arrive. The family sitting near us waited even longer. I really like that there is a page dedicated to vegan options, but the customer service overall was not good. I do not

Nice spot!! Sever was very kind and food came out in a timely manner. Awesome three course meal with the Chicken Katsu Curry. My friend and I both got that plus miso soup and salad. Chicken Katsu Curry could have used a little more of a kick to it but other that I love it! My friend got the spring rolls and enjoyed them and I got Takoyaki ( fried octopus with sauce) and thought they were delicious! Price is fairly reasonable for the amount of food you get!! Would recommend to a friend!
