I went there this past Sunday for my mother in laws birthday. I was shocked to see that the only food option we could order was the buffet! No biggie, until I realized it was $24 a person!! Pretty pricey, considering there was barely any meat options. The food was also very bland, not a lot of flavor to it. Basically an over priced Perkins, but with an alcohol option for drinks. I am glad we tried it, the experience seemed fun, but with the bland food and pricing my husband and I will not be back.

My husband and I finally got out to trying this popular Des Moines brunch spot. We were there on a Sunday morning, so we had the Bombshell Brunch Buffet.
First, all staff were great. The buffet area was clean and fully stocked the whole time we were there. Wait staff were friendly and efficient.
The food was delicious. Considering it was buffet style the food did not taste like it had been sitting in a warmer.
We each had one drink from the Bloody Mary bar, which was very fun with many topping options. (The mimosa and screwdriver bars looked beautiful as well)
Both my husband and I walked away

Our experience yesterday left a bad taste in our mouths to say the least and it wasn’t because of the food. Our server, Erin, I believe her name was beyond rude and also forgetful. So for parties of six or more, FYI your gratuity is added on. She made sure to be super pleasant as she handed us back our cards. No extra tip for her. End of rant.

I’ve had lunch a few times at Americana but this was a first time having dinner.
Prime rib was great. Not the best I’ve ever had, but really good. Key lime bites were bomb too.
5 star given for actually having decent Non-Alcoholic options as well. Also had a NA Grapefruit Tonic that was really good.
We had a limited menu with a large group, and the service was great too with a large group. Well organized.

Beautiful dining area, great location. Friendly staff. Delicious food. I rated it low because The first time I got sick, and I thought it was just me. I tried it again and my boyfriend and I both got sick. I was miserable throwing up. I have called and mentioned on 2 occasions and never heard back. I would love to be able to eat here again, but I haven’t heard of any changes since this issue. And of course they have gluten free options.

We went for brunch which right now is a serve yourself breakfast buffet. $22/per person. Option to add on endless mimosas or bloody Marys and bar to mix in stuff. The food was actually warm for being buffet! Good set up.
For a buffet, it was good. Lots of options with mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, pancakes, desserts, grilled cheese, and fruit.

Excellent customer service from staff, Great environment for large groups, loud ambience. The following taints my review... I was not expecting a buffet brunch. There are two service areas: into the kitchen and in a space outside of a rest room corridor. I appreciate the creativity in offering a buffet. You line up and enter part of the kitchen area for your eggs and potatoes and meats - you know the traditional items including gluten options,l. the buffet serving spoons are not cleaned when the trays are replenished and there doesn't seem to be staff supervising for cleanliness or contamination

Americana is an amazing steakhouse and American classic fusion restaurant. Everything on the menu is a great choice, and you’ll be surprised how much you enjoy something you wouldn’t typically order. After dozens of visits, I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like, never encountered any kind of problem, and always enjoyed every single craft cocktail I’ve tried. Americana is a Des Moines staple and a guaranteed good night out. Very fairly priced for the quality - Worth every dollar, highly recommend.

A group of us stopped by Americana for happy hour and ordered a variety of apps and a few drinks. The HH menu is solid with some good deals. $6 mules and champagne drinks, $3 beers, and apps for around $7. Servers were really nice, efficient, and working hard.
The apps themselves were just okay. We tried the edamame, crab Rangoon dip, shrimp dip, cheese curds and hummus. All of them were just average. The portion sizes were solid though.
Cocktail wise, we tried a variety of the champagne drinks and none really blew us away. I'm not really a mule fan so I didn't want to go that route

If you are reading this post now you should probably scroll on up and click "reserve now" to make your reservation for this weekend's brunch.
I was in town last weekend for the IMT Des Moines Half Marathon and I always have to do my research for the best post-race brunch in town. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. Unfortunately since I only looked one day before, the earliest reservation available on Sunday was 12:45pm! I booked it anyways, and was actually able to bump it up 12PM.
This place was a dream! The only downfall was that we were seated upstairs and if you&apos
