Stillwater Automotive has been owned and operated by Lonnie Daugherty since 1988. Lonnie came to Stillwater in 1977 to attend Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a BA in History in 1981. He grew up in his father's auto shop in Muskogee, OK and worked his way through OSU as a mechanic in a local shop.

I've been going to Stillwater Automotive for many years now. This time, I received a standard oil change but I've had extensive work done in the past (mostly on my truck). For the oil change, I dropped off my car in the morning and it was done by late morning (there is an option to wait, if you want). One of the things I really appreciate is the extensive list of work done but also a list of recommended service. I've never felt pressure to do anything but I do like seeing upcoming issues or service. This gives me the option of budgeting the money or for doing some of it myself.

We needed some annual maintenance done to our vehicle and they were able to get us right in. They were finished ahead of time which allowed enough time for a replacement piece to come in and be installed before we picked it up. We just recently moved back in to town and knew from past experience that Stillwater Automotive was a trustworthy shop to take our vehicles too, so that’s what we did.

I have Lexus LS460 & It had problems in the breaks system and had to do the programming for it . Took everywhere and they tell just take to the dealer till I found automotive & they knew how to deal with the issue I had . They told me how much every part will be & asked me if they can work or not before they purchase the part. I appreciate the job they have done on my car . For sure I’m going back to them .

My engine oil light came on and I took my car to an auto store to pick up oil. Then my car wouldn’t even start. Kayla was really calm on the phone and told me to run back into the store to get a jump. This saved me money on a tow. Once I managed to get back on the road, I headed straight to them and they checked it over. My battery was a dud and they got me taken care of right away. Very thankful for their service.

My charge light came on Friday night. I dropped off my vehicle on Saturday. Their parking lot was almost full, so I knew they had lots of cars before mine. On Tuesday, they were able to complete a warranty replacement of my alternator. They had replaced it in last year, and it was under warranty.
I appreciate their honesty and integrity in dealing with me. It was a pleasure to talk with the office staff. They are always good to help me understand what's what.

I made a appointment for 8:00 am dropped the car off . Called 11:00 they said they would get to my car after lunch. I drove by at 2:00 and my car was STILL not worked on! Not sure WHY you make an appointment if they are just going to push you back on the time they get the oil changed???? Not happy!!! I had to get my mom up early to pick me from the shop and I have a son with autism and waiting definitely isn’t something he does well with. Never have I ever had to wait more than 6 hours for a oil change!( and I had a APPOINTMENT)

The girls up front are AHHMAZING; I cant say enough good things about the customer service and work they do at Stillwater Automotive.
My dad passed away last year and, like many other dads, he was the one who took care of all the vehicle/machine maintenance. I brought my car into a handful of other places before Stillwater Automotive, and almost all of them treated me like I didn't know enough (because I don't). One of the businesses even made fun of me for not knowing the name of a part. It was SO REFRESHING to call Stillwater Automotive and be talked to with respect. They take the time to explain
