This is a really great place for the square. The wife and I went before a show and really enjoyed eating here. We decided to order a lot of appetizers instead of a meal and will definitely be back for a full entree. I will say I wish the appetizer portions were a little larger. There was a lot of attention to detail and you could tell from the bus boy to the head humpa on the floor everyone was in tune.

This is the second time I've been to Mac's Chophouse. My daughter took me for my birthday last night. We had the blue cheese wedge, crab cake, Lobster risotto, and the steak (I forgot what that appetizer was called) and I have to say everything was so delicious!! The waitress (upstairs dining) was wonderful and for my birthday she brought out dessert - a chocolate cookie covered in chocolate sauce, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fresh cut strawberries. Their food is consistently delicious and I will be back!

The steak was overdone. What ever you want order on your steak - do not expect it. This was a birthday dinner surprise and i was embarrassed by the entire experience. The steak tasted like liver. The potatoes were good. But not alot of side selections. No good top shelf liquor and only 1 merlot on menu. Will not go back. The waiter was not very friendly and the hostess was wearing fishnets with a cheerleading skirt. Not a classy joint.

Mac's Chophouse defines excellence. This is the place to go if you are looking for truly great food prepared by a chef that obviously has a passion for good food. The waiting staff was on point, our waiter Phillip kept our drinks full, was there every time we needed him but allowed us to enjoy our meal and date time together perfectly. I highly recommend taking your wife or girlfriend here for an awesome date night and maybe the best steak you've ever had?! Enjoy

Took my parents there for brunch. What an enjoyable experience. My father commented that it was the best Bloody Mary that's he has ever had. Food and service were both outstanding. They did a great job on renovating the space after Schilling's closed. Can't wait to go back.

Went with a group of 14 and set upstairs.
Food was very good but that's about it.
The wait staff is a huge problem.
A few of us had to leave early because of another engagement.
I told one waitress in the room and ask her to run my credit card so I could pay for the table and leave others there.
She said ok then ignored what I said and started setting up other tables.
When our tables waiter reappeared I ask him the same thing.
So he continues filling over tables water glasses etc. but I gave him my credit card.
After about five minutes he comes back into the room without my credit card.

Mac's is simply awesome--old world decor, stellar cuisine, upscale atmosphere, and excellent service. We had Sunday brunch here today after church just around the corner and made an excellent choice. I make reservations on OpenTable and they were able to accommodate us at a regular booth instead of high top seating which was the only option on OpenTable. We were seated promptly. Our waiters were awesome. They were personally, attentive, and had a great knowledge of the menu. We started with the Pimento Cheese Fritters, which had a delicious drop of Southern flavor in every bite. For

My family and I tried this new spot for brunch last Sunday. First our server was very unpleasant. He displayed an attitude as if he didn't want to be bothered. He then presented my daughter with an out-of-the-wrapper straw that he was holding with his bare hands. When she asked him to bring her a wrapped one, he acted like he was the one offended. I came so close to asking the manager to give us another server, but decided that I didn't want to have to go through that. We're just trying to enjoy our Sunday.
My mom and daughter ordered the lazy Susan brunch and I ordered the grouper

We decided to try the new kid on the block in the steakhouse world and boy we were not disappointed. We arrived early and proceeded to the upstairs bar where Denise was a superb mixologist so listen to her.
Our dinner was one of the best steaks (bone in ribeye) we have had out period. It was cooked to perfection great char and a true rare. We tried the shrimp and scallops with the steak. The scallops won hands down dont miss the opportunity to experience these. The whipped potato's were excellent as was the asparagus. We had a great bottle of wine from Australia that paired wonderfully with

Came for dinner on a weekday. Food was good but I wasn't blown away. My watermelon cocktail had a solid piece of watermelon instead of ice but the drink wasn't as cold as I would have liked it. The field greens salad was so sad. They brought the plate out and I thought it was just half the serving since maybe they split the salad for me and my husband to each have our own plate. Nope. That was it.

The mashed potatoes that come with your dinner are very smooth and buttery. Recommend it with fresh cracked pepper on top.

Strip steak was good and cooked to requested temp. Decent price

I've been to Mac's Chophouse before and it was AMAZING. The food and service was impeccable so when it was time for my fiancé and I to celebrate our anniversary I said we HAVE to go here for brunch.

We had a reservation and when we walked in, we were seated right away upstairs which was SO NICE.

We ordered the pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer (I'd had them before when I came and they were amazing). When we got them they were almost cold but we ate them because we didn't see the server, and we know sometimes that happens.

My fiancé ordered the chicken and waffles

Amazing! Went in for a break in work and who knew? We didn't have a reservation so we were limited to bar seating.. No worries, we were there partly to try the lamb lollipops which were absolutely stellar. Everything we wished for and more. The sauce hit all the right notes and the lamb was expertly prepared. Great start! We also tried the crabcake--also good as well as Caesar salads that were delivered almost immediately. The rolls with the honey & butter were absolutely divine.

But most impressive was our mixologist Chad. We were intrigued watching him work but were not settled on

Sometimes plans change for the better! My friend, Rochelle and I were meeting for lunch. We changed restaurants due to hours. We walked around the Marietta Sq looking for another option. Mac's Chophouse was a great find.

Mac's Chophouse is located in Marietta Sq with plenty of street and parking lot parking for free and paid. It's located right on the corner of Church St and North Park Sq. You can dine indoors or outdoors. The interior decor is inviting and has a lovely historic modern vibe.

Our waitress, Theresa, did a great job making suggestions throughout our experience. All

This is a hard one to nail to a simple rating. High highs, low lows.

Ambiance - 5 stars (beautiful place in a great location with nice views, good lighting, fun seating near the bar, and the most stunning bathroom I've ever seen in a restaurant - ever!)

Service - 4 stars (older, dark-haired woman was too talkative, too distracted, took way too long to ask for our orders, and my friend had to go retrieve her wine from the bar after watching it sit there for over ten minutes)

Value - 3 stars (too many better places for the money)

Food - um, depends on what you order!
4 stars for the scallops

I've heard nothing but rave reviews about this place so my husband brought me here today for Mother's Day brunch. We had a reservation at 11:30am but we had to wait about 8-10 minutes (I'm assuming they were busy with holiday crowd). Once we were seated upstairs, our waitress promptly came and explained the Lazy Susan brunch menu. All in all, the food and the service was great. I didn't post pics of the meat from the carving station but my husband loved the lamb chops (and he isn't a big lamb fan) and the prime rib. The dessert station was also well stocked with a

Fantastic lunch on the square! We were a party of four seated in the upstairs dining room. White tablecloths set the stage for a elegant and delicious meal. The service was efficient and friendly. We took our time and enjoyed every bite. We ordered the bib lettuce wedge salad, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower and French fries to start. Then the French onion soup, crab cake and trout as main entrees. All were so incredibly prepared, served piping hot and presented beautifully.
The wine menu was varied with reasonable offering a 6 oz or 9 oz pour as well as the whole bottle.

Came to celebrate my birthday with a friend. I ordered the fish and chips. He order the extra crispy chicken sandwich.
Oddly enough they kind of tasted like each other ! I guess they fried the chicken and the fish in the same oil. Both meals were average I did not like the fact that the chicken tasted like fish ! The desert was OK, it looked prettier than it tasted!

I really didn't feel there was enough separation between our table and the table next to us it appeared to be less than 6 feet! We sat on the top floor and it looked the same pre-pandemic as it does now post pandemic.
