Planning during a pandemic is a real bummer. We showed up for our appointment only to find out that it needed to be rescheduled, their staff members had caught covid. For some reason their attempt to contact me that morning, went unregistered on my phone until 30 minutes after we arrived. *Enter rant about horrible 5G reception in Portland*

Logan gave me an incredible massage! He clearly knew what he was doing- he got so many spots therapists usually miss and he had such a consistently firm pressure throughout. It feels rare to find a good therapist that puts in as much effort as Logan did at the end of the day, but Logan did great. Highly recommend and would definitely come back.

Me and and a date went to get a couples massage it was the best hotel environment I have ever been in. We got to go into the coolest room I have ever seen, you would just have to go to see it can't be explained but just great energy room. The massage therapist I had was wonderful observant of what I needed and I felt wonderful afterwards. I would highly recommend this place and after our Dat of massage we got truffles and choices of alcohol tea or water. We will 100% be back! Thanks again!

I would have rated no stars but there were no option for that. I had a bad experience after my second visit to Zama. My appt was for an eyebrow tint, eyebrow wax, lip and chin wax. Layers of my skin was taken off from my chin. I had to seek medical attention. I missed a show that I had been looking forward to & planned to attend the next day. Too painful and noticable. I reached out to Zama to share what happened to my chin, I even sent a photo via email. No one got back to me. I stopped by to show what happened. A nice lady named Cara at the front desk said that a manager would be getting

Very friendly services and loved the massage overall. Prices are reasonable. We got a couples side by sided massage and scheduled for a Tuesday because their website said free halo enhancement but when we got there we were told you just get to be in it with no salt effect. We chose Zama because of the salt room but didn't get to experience it unfortunately. It just wasn't what we were expecting so -1 star, not a huge deal though.

My partner and I enjoyed a couples massage, it was one of the best massages. We chose the Himalayan salt room with salt rocks massage and added warm coco butter massage oil. It was absolutely divine. The coco butter had a nice pleasant aroma while the hot salt rocks relaxed my sore and tense muscles. We left floating on cloud nine. Everything from to start to finish was great.

Place was nice and remodeled and staff was friendly. Massage was very subpar, and my wife’s massage therapist would not stop talking the entire time. I had mentioned my lower back was the only place giving me problems, my massage therapist spent half the time pinching my neck until I told him I was in pain and not enjoying it. My wife also had requested a female massage therapist, but we get there and it’s a male. An hour couples massage and champagne was around $340. Not worth the price and a lack of communication/attention to detail.

I've been to Zama in the past and had great experiences. This time was particularly bad, I didn't know it was possible to leave a massage parlor feeling more pain than when I entered. Not sure if they have new staff, or if the therapist may not have known what muscle group the lattisimus dorsi belongs to because when asked to focus on that area the focus was placed on my spine and now I am in pain. I thought the pain was from working out the knots but I think they were just being pushed around because I now have new areas of tension in my neck, shoulders and lower back. Will need to

This cozy spa is a renovated old house off of Broadway. The ambiance is exactly what you would want from a spa - soothing, hushed and peaceful. The front desk gal called my fiance and I the day before to remind us to come in early to fill out paperwork so we could have the maximum amount of time for our massage. We had the Couple's Date Night package and we're put up in the Sapphire room. Everything in this spa is clean and relaxing. We had therapists Patrick and Garrett. I truly wasn't going to say anything, as I know how businesses can be effected by opinions. However, as I sit here talking to my daughter about the experience, days later, I should most definitely say something. My daughter and I went in on my birthday for a side by side Swedish massage. We both can describe the massages as painful. At one point, I yelped in pain and asked him not to apply that much pressure, as I just did a hike, in Washington, the day before. He lessened up for a couple minutes and then went right back into painful massages with his elbows. I had to meditate the pain away

Not really worth it to get a massage with a mask on, couldn’t breath and felt like I was suffocating. The massage was also very eh (with Jennifer) and the room was cold most of the time especially with the deep blue cream. I was practically shivering except when the hot pack felt like it scalded my back.

This was my first time at Zama. I booked a 90 minute halo massage, and it did not disappoint! My massage therapist was Gareth and he was excellent. He was extremely professional and considerate, he checked in with me throughout to make sure the pressure was how I wanted it, and he was very knowledgeable when it came to my muscle groups that needed attention. I leave this place feeling like a happy melted marshmallow. So far I have booked with Logan and Kenny. Both magic men with magic hands. I specifically like my massages deeep.. like you can't hurt me haha. I love that they both get those nasty knots from working in an office all day. Also, they have cupping!
Side note - my friend said she thought the front desk person was rude which is why they won't go back but that person must be gone. The front desk people have always been super friendly to me. So if you have had that experience I recommend giving this spot another chance.

The review is a little overdue yet I still wanted to review them because when you are paying $$$ for a session you need to have other yelpers honest opinions.I booked the couples massage after looking at a few other places and seeing the great reviews Zama had.we walked in and were told to check -in ,no tea or water was offered .We were then sent upstairs and our masseuse walked us over what to expect and if we had any areas we would like to focus on.I did not particularly like my massage ,it felt rushed at points and too relaxed at others however my hubby loved his and hence the four stars.Afterwards
