After nearly a decade of interest in the esoteric healing arts, I decided to pursue an education in massage therapy. My unique style of bodywork blends together deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point release, tui na, craniosacral therapy, and reiki. I believe in a holistic approach to health. Our physical bodies do not fully heal without the simultaneous healing of our mind, heart, and spirit.
Kyle uses acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and East Asian bodywork to treat all manner of conditions from pain to genitourinary problems to digestive complaints. As a clinician, Kyle prioritizes transparency and patient empowerment to build relationships of radical trust. Creating a space in which you feel seen, heard, and held is one of their most important goals.
Sara Kitcher believes that rest and relaxation are revolutionary. Often, we rely on pushing, striving, and grinding to accomplish our goals. Allowing ourselves to let go and relax can be surprisingly difficult and complicated. Through her practice, Sara has noticed that when she slows down, works gently with the body and soothes the nervous system, healing can be profound and lasting.
As a practiced massage therapist, Brodsky individualizes every massage treatment to each person's unique body and needs. The style of her work draws from a spectrum of traditional and intuitive modalities, integrating Swedish and deep tissue massage, Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, reflexology, Craniosacral, sound therapy, and aromatherapy.
Kaelirose is an Integrative Pelvic Floor therapist, a somatic coach, and a birth and postpartum doula. She is also a practicing Labor and Delivery nurse. As a queer parent and birth worker, Kaelirose has witnessed firsthand the limitations of standardized healthcare and the ways that it carries out systematic oppression.

Lyndsey is absolutely amazing, I swear I feel 10 years younger when I climb off her massage table. I have worked with several different massage therapists in the past but this has been my most positive experience. Lyndsey emanates warmth and I find her massage technique to be extremely soothing. I am a very tired mama of two children with special needs. As a full-time caregiver, I am often sleep deprived, stressed, and exhausted (both physically and emotionally). I decided to start massage therapy as a way to 'fill my cup' and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Lyndsey :)

Brodsky is the best massage therapist I have seen. I am now pregnant and have seen her a couple times for prenatal massage and will continue through my pregnancy. She seems to know exactly what I need each time and her energy and work is so therapeutic. I can tell she truly cares about what she does and it shows in her work.

I purchased a therapeutic massage through ClassPass. 44 credits worth which is almost $80. I showed up excited for my massage and a lady told me there was nobody in the spa to give me a massage. Super disappointed for the lack of communication. If Open Hand Health is going to provide services through ClassPass, you need to show up for your appointments. The lady didn't seem to cared and said the owner will email you. I don't recommend this place if you are wanting a good customer service.

I’m very happy with the quality of care I received from Open Hand and Kyle! Booking the appointment was simple, I felt safe coming to the appointment with the COVID protocols they’ve implemented, and Kyle was able to answer all my questions and make my first experience with acupuncture a positive one! In the end I feel great and will definitely be returning again.

Brodsky is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had. I look to massage for both rehabilitation from sports and physical activity, but also a deeper connection to my body that allows me to explore a sense of spirituality. It's not easy finding a therapist who can access both of these approaches. There are soooo many therapists in the city, and it can feel really daunting trying to find someone who clicks (and pricey!), and I'm really grateful that I didn't waste much time finding Brodsky. She's a true healer.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality
I love coming to Open Hand for therapeutic massages. I've seen two different providers here and the part I love most is that each provider is given space to help me heal within their specific specialty. I really appreciate that they also take health insurance, making it so much more accessible for me to come on a frequent basis.

I recently had a lovely and very therapeutic massage with Andi at Open Hand and was so happy with the experience. It was my first time visiting the wellness center. Parking was easy and free in the small lot in front and on the side of the building. Inside the space was clean, bright, modern, and so inviting. Andi was absolutely wonderful -- they were communicative, asking questions as they went along to make sure issues were being addressed and that I was comfortable. As someone who has a physical job, I was grateful for their thorough attention to my most troubled and tense areas. It was all

Had a wonderful experience. Sara was communicative and friendly. I have already told my coworkers about it and recommended they book an appt. Honestly the best massage I’ve ever had. Perfect pressure and I felt a significant decrease in back and shoulder pain immediately after. Also really gentle, soothing, and relaxing during the end. She gave me a scalp/head massage and I almost fell asleep.

I had a fantastic experience at Open Hand! Sara gave me the first therapeutic massage I've had in about two years, and it was just what my body needed. She listened to my needs, and made sure I left without the tension and stress I had been carrying in my shoulders, neck, and head for weeks. I felt amazing for the rest of the day, and the day after I noticed a huge difference in my range of motion while exercising.
The space itself was so cute and welcoming. It was homey and cozy while still feeling somewhat "clinical," so I immediately felt that I was in the hands of caring professionals. I will

If you're in pain or seeking relaxing benefits from massage there's definitely a practitioner to match what you're needing.
I feel grateful to have this amazing resource/business in my neighborhood. They offer all a wide range of therapeutic massage services.
I've been getting lots of relief with massages from Ashley. She listens and addresses the neck & shoulder pain I have. I leave each session feeling incredible.
Added perk is they have some available parking.

The owner is a very dedicated, and keeps a vigilant watch on the overall operations of Open Hand Health & Body. She's, literally, hands on. The affiliated practitioners who share her space are also experienced, and compassionate, professionals. The staff is well-versed, and there's an ever increasing level of education, which the owner insists upon. Community engagement is also a stellar offering, and this company never hesitates to contribute on multiple plains. 100% safe zone for people who have a hard time finding such in competing businesses. Outstanding! Wintry is truly extraordinary. He is changing my body and my overall health with a level of care that I didn't believe existed. Managing chronic pain is a process. If healing is your priority I can't recommend him enough. This is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and brilliant body work by an experienced LMT.

The environment at Open Hand is also wonderful. Unpretentious. Windows. Nice light. Lots of plants.

While the massage and space was great, the way that Open Hand have handled the financial aspect of my massage has been less than satisfactorily leaving me feeling that the experience was so bad I'll never go there again and will be sure to tell my friends about this experience. In fact, their written communication with me has been, in parts, disrespectful and rude. Their website shows that they accept Providence insurance, which is why I chose to take my business there. Beingnew to the US, when someone told me they would take care of the insurance aspect of billing, I trusted that and didn't think

I can't say enough good things about my experience here yesterday.

I've been experience acute pain in my shoulder for almost two weeks, and yesterday decided I couldn't take it anymore. I did what any person would do: Googled 'massage Portland insurance' and this place popped right up. Their website made it super simple for me to make an appointment, and I was able to select an option that included my health insurance policy. I made an appointment a few hours out with Aiden and was set.

My Lyft dropped me off right in front of a HUGE building complex, but the sandwich

You know when you've found the last "whatever" you ever need? Your dream car, the perfect chair, your ideal backpack that carries everything and isn't bulky. If Clara ever stops giving massages I'll probably be disappointed with whoever I find next.

I've been seeing massage therapists for over 20 years, hands down Clara is the most talented and intuitive massage therapist I've ever seen. She always gets to the route of the issue and recommends stretches and exercises to help alleviate discomfort.

The studio space is comfortable, inviting and convenient. I highly recommend Open Hand!

I was so excited when I found out that they took my insurance! I have seen both Racheal and Aiden - both provided great massage with deep pressure in a beautiful and well designed space.

These people know what their doing. Knowledgable practitioners, beautiful space, easy booking, and covered by insurance. Best massage of my life!

These practitioners have warm and genuine energy--it is always a pleasure to see them. As a bonus, this place takes my insurance (Providence) so after an injury it was a relief to find such excellent accessible care. The space is beautiful and inviting--I feel really comfortable here.
