I thought I was going to have the best expierence with this company just from speaking with the first associate, he was phenomenal! That was until I was swindled. I scheduled my tour, turned in my application, paid my fee, and provided the requested documentation. The morning of my scheduled tour I received a texted from one of their associates saying the gps gave him incorrect timing so he would be 25 minutes late. Horrible experience with Mike Santanello. I have had to file several complaints with several agency. Please do your due diligence before listing and buying where the agent is Mike. i have never in all my buying and selling been treated in such a way. Strano please change how you allow the agents to treat customers on both sides of the real estate aisle.

I think its poor management to simply not rent to people that haven't had a bankruptcy in 6 years. Especially if you had a chapter 13 and paid in full with a discharge..or had a chapter 7 and have fixed your credit..Life does happen to us all!! I think its a bit of discrimination..each situation should be reviewed on a case by case bases.. everyone who has been thru things in life aren't bad people !

If i could give zero stars i would. My mother moved into her home a week and a half ago so the house is not in order yet. They come over to do and "inspection thing". Audrea didnt nothing but yell at my mother and belittle her about every tiny thing she could possibly find. She also illegally took pictures of my mothers vehicles. She was so rude and destispectful. Then this evening we get a ten day noticed to vacate whoch is illegal too. It has to be a 30 days notice. I can not stand this lady! She is absolutely terrible and not professional at all. Dont rent from her!!!!!

If I could give ZERO stars...I would. Strano managed my property for 10 years. I was active duty military and moved out of country. The initial 4 years were great under old management. After the management changed, so did the quality of property management. They do not make sure tenants take care of your property. They are only out for profit. When I finally went to see my house it was TOTALLY trashed. The previous tenants had destroyed my house but apparently received all of their deposit back...per Strano, but I'm not so sure after reading these reviews. Then they told me I needed to repair

One of the worst companies ever! I don't think there's enough space on here to tell you how awful this company is and how poorly things are handled. Communication is awful, the only time I got a response from Andrea was when I threatened to call her supervisor or call a lawyer. I haven't received one month of rent and I've spent more $2K in repairs since the tenants have moved in. Do NOT work with them. All the reviews are true. They are the worst company to rent from and to manage your property!! Stay away!!!!

This has to be one of the worst management company ever! We needed a company to manage our property since we were moving a couple hours away, a friend recommended we contract Andrea. She did a walk through and told us how great the place look and how much we can get in rent per month. She was the perfect "car salesman". Everything sounded fantastic. We signed a contract and after that.......everything went downhill.

Our initial experience with Strano was good when we moved in Jun '13. They provided good broker services to find a good property and were generally responsive to our inquiries. As time went on, the service declined. We couldn't always confirm that messages were received and we were never sure if the communications made it to the property owners...like for the siding damage that was on the house for our entire stay.

I am a new tenant of Strano and I have to say I am surprised at all of the negative reviews. My experience so far has been positive. I looked at many properties and dealt with several different management companies. I kept going back to Strano and eventually only looked at their website for available properties. The other companies had a "take it or leave it" attitude when I raised issues about cleanliness, obvious lack of maintenance, and repairs needed. I have been a landlord with Strano since 2014 and they are mediocre at best. They have zero methodologies for tracking trends or continued issues. A tenant can call 6 times about a leaky toilet that is "fixed" for $70 and then call again a month later. I am not sure but if a contractor is coming back 5 or 6 times for the same problem, they are not doing a good job repairing the issue; however, I get to pay for it each time. My favorite is when a tenant calls in a work order for a leaky toilet and then when maintenance shows up they add on 3 other items to be fixed without my authorization

Holy moly, I am a current landlord of a house in Illinois. I hired Strano 2 years ago. I have had nothing but trouble. My tenants pay the rent through Strano on time, but by the time Strano pays me it's nearly mid-month where I had to take the mortgage out of savings. They will take days off before rents are deposited. They do not communicate with each other and turnover is high. Very disappointed...don't hire. I fired them.

Strano certainly has it's challenges and quirks about them, but I will say they do try. Getting in contact with them was an exercise in frustration at times and while I did receive my security deposit back (after about 26 or 27 days), I am still waiting for a small portion they took out claiming a utility fee clearly billed to them was mine to pay, citing a confusing charge which they 'assumed' was in error. So, instead of seeking clarity, they saw best to take it from my deposit, telling me after I questioned them and even noting a refund I received from the city on my last bill

My wife and I rented from Strano for 2 years in Fairview Heights. My advice to anyone who chooses to rent from this company is to document EVERYTHING on the move in checklist. When we first moved in my wife was told by the Strano representative that she didn't need to document some minor issue because they were minor. However, those same minor issues were marked by Strano upon move out and we were charged for repairs.

The rumors were true.. Strano is an awful property management agency!!! They will fight tooth and nail over the refund of your deposit. They do not honor the lease and would make changes that work in their favor, which go against the document that you signed. After 60 days, I still do not have my deposit.
Maintenance requests/orders also take weeks to get completed. Customer service knows how to speak well, but they are lazy and do not submit orders, contact landlords, or other like jobs.
Always email Strano because if its not written down it didn't happen, so ask EVERYTHING to be put down

Overall, we had a fair experience renting a house through Strano. Three years ago, we signed a one year lease for a house in Swansea, and renewed it twice. Over the years, Strano did not have to do much for us, as the owner took on all repairs and maintenance for the property. Strano did have to conduct the background check, and manage the bookkeeping for the payments, which they did well.
