Alba's Restaurant, New York Times acclaimed Three Star Italian restaurant in Westchester County was born in Port Chester, NY in 1993 by Chef/Owner Ray Balidemaj. Celebrating 21 years of excellence, serving the Greenwich, CT, and Westchester County areas, Ray is dedicated to Italian Cuisine, that is served fresh, simple, and prepared with respect.
Alba's was named after the white truffle region of Italy, Alba. The dual combination of Ray's cooking techniques, management style-unheard of in the Westchester area, bettered restaurants all around in the early 90's-with his brother Sammy Balidemaj's energy and drive in the dining room, they propelled Alba's to become the only Three Star Italian restaurant in the area in 1993.

Highly recommend....great dining experience...had business lunch there and food was fantastic. The staff was very professional and friendly. The waiter even helped me in remembering some Albanian phrases..felt like a dining experience in Europe and I am an Italian from Brooklyn!..Hope to dine again there soon...wishing all the staff...Gezuar Vitin e Ri 2022..

One of my favorite restaurants in the Port Chester/Greenwich area. Been coming since they opened. A major renovation about 4 years ago resulted in a very lovely, warm inviting and QUIET interiors with a lovely separate bar great for lunch. The food is Northern Italian with a twist. The pastas are excellent and the sauces well seasoned and not overly sweet. I particularly like the Osso Bucco over parmesan risotto and one of the best veal chops I've ever had. Decent wine list and desserts. The service has always been impeccable. Highly recommended.

The reviews seem to be either very angry at delays & noise or in love with the spectacular food. Frankly I think the truth is somewhere in the middle: it’s just a regular old school suburban Italian restaurant. They do the standards well in a time when many older restaurants can’t manage to do that. None of the 4 dishes we ordered being offensive or particularly exciting either. Unfairly by having NYC so close we are spoiled by the choices available but remember some people just want the standards. The service can be a bit overbearing but again it’s the experience that that type

We sat down at 6:30 and the restaurant was clearly packed. The waiter took drink orders promptly but that was the last prompt moment. We didn’t receive menus until 7:00 ordered at 7:15 (fine, slow but not an issue) and got our food a little after 9:20! (or at least the other people in our party did). we had to leave around 9 as we had a small child who can’t make it 3 hours from start to finish past our bed time so I asked the waiter after hunting him down not to bring our food and not to charge my elderly grandmother for it! The waiter was dismissive and nasty and while a portion was comped

Crowded beyond belief!
Noise level off the charts! Cant have a conversation at your own table
Then there’s the rip-off specials, given verbally with no mention of price. Then the check arrives!!
$50 for veal Milanese special
OUTRAGEOUS!!! BEWARE!!!
Your response completely missed the point. Not making diners aware of pricing of the specials is at the very least unfair. No one is disputing your quality but your transparency is sadly lacking

Went there for dinner and they were pretty busy but I still don’t think that excuses the fact that it took over an hour for our food to come out. I got the veal piccata and it was honestly 3 pieces of grey, sad looking meat with 2 half burned baby potatoes and some green beans. I did like their melon and prosciutto but to be honest, everything was severely overpriced. I don’t mind splurging on a nice dinner, but this was just not worth it at all. Will not be going back.

We've had some "Okay" meals here over the years but made a polite inquiry about the clearly odd smell of a chicken based entree & were met with abject fury by management. The undersized (overpriced) portion looked as odd as it smelled. No professional suggestion was made to rectify this spoiled food they served. We opted to depart and have dinner at one of the many outstanding nearby restaurants. Alba's did not hesitate to charge us for the untouched food & impressed us that they are clearly in the wrong line of business. We won't miss our car being jackrabbited

The food was just okay. Unfortunately, we experienced an extremely rude waiter on our Mother's Day outing. We were a group of 10 and his tip was included, so essentially his service was not worth his $150+ tip. Half of our group arrived 10 minutes prior to the reservation so after our drinks arrived I simply asked if we could have some menus. Our waiter then replied, "you just sat down". Clearly we hadn't "just sat down" if we had time to order drinks and have them served. His comment was completely unnecessary and he continued with his attitude throughout our dining

I had a really nice meal here.
This is a traditional Italian restaurant. An assortment of classic dishes are offered with an extensive wine list. The waiters are professional, enthusiastic, and entertaining. It is not a modern place with a casual waiters and charcuterie plates with craft beers on tap.
The decor fits this. We (my wife and I) sat outside by a big fountain - the kind of thing you might see in Naples I'm guessing. The inside is nice in a fancy sort of way.
We shared the escargot appetizer which was delicious. Our second course was the caesar salad for two. It was good not

The review is NOT about staff/service. That I liked a lot. My three is for the food. For the price, it was meh. Overcooked steak with bland sides (a few of the potatoes served as a side were undercooked), pasta was was lacking flavor, and octopus appetizer was rubbery. I sense there was a time when this place was very good, but they just aren't cutting it with the food anymore. For me, not worth a second try.

You literally enter the dining room through a hallway of fresh antipasto, which immediately puts your taste buds on high alert.
They rarely give you a menu and leave. Instead, one of the waiters welcomes you and lists the many specials of the evening which include: a fish, pasta and meat selection that is so extensive, it's hard to figure out why they have menus at all.
They wheeled out a cart and made the Cesar Salad right at our table. As delicious as it was, it paled in comparison to their pasta entree special, Grandma's Lasagna.
It's hard to tell if it's 5 or 6 layers
