Services
Becoming a massage therapist has been a vital part of my own journey toward a positive, joyful, and thriving relationship with my body. Like so many others, I was steeped in body-negative messages, images and experiences while I was growing up. I internalized a lot of shame and pain in my own body.
In this style of massage, I tune in to the interconnected layers of fascia and muscle throughout your body, and follow their lead to help you shift and release patterns of tension and restriction. Fascia is connective tissue that wraps around our muscles, organs & bones. All of the fascia in our body is interwoven, and fascial restrictions in one area can impact other areas.
The job of the lymphatic system is to help rid the body of toxins, waste and unwanted materials by transporting lymph, a fluid that carries infection-fighting white blood cells, throughout your body. Lymphatic massage is a light and rhythmic style of massage that supports your lymphatic system in moving lymph more effectively, and can alleviate swelling and encourage a healthy immune response.
In deep tissue massage, I use a variety of techniques to target muscles and connective tissue below the surface to relieve severe and chronic tension. I work slowly and thoroughly so that you can experience deep relief without causing further damage or pain. This kind of massage can help improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.
In scar tissue massage, I apply myofascial release techniques to external and internal scar tissue to gently release adhesions, decrease pain and improve mobility. While scar tissue is an incredible and necessary part of our bodies innate healing abilities, it can also contribute to restrictions, pain and discomfort over time.

I've had a lot of massages in my life, and Rebecca is easily one of the best in my experience. Rebecca is both intuitive and communicative. Most massage therapists say that they take a "tailored approach", but Rebecca actually does. I felt comfortable and listened to as she worked to help relieve my back pain. The space is tranquil, tasteful, and minimalist. She even asked what kind of music I like to relax to and played it during the massage. I've never been given a choice before so that was really cool. I'll certainly be going back to see her.

The massage was uncomfortable at times and I thought it was because my muscles were so tight. As it turned out the therapist had sharp nails and she was causing scratches in my skin. When I got home and looked in the mirror it looks like I was attacked by a cat. I can't believe she wouldn't keep her nails trimmed. I'm only showing the scratches on my neck but I have them elsewhere too. I met friends afterwards and they wanted to know what happened to my neck. How embarrassing. I do not recommend this place and I would not go back.

Rebecca is the best massage therapist I've had so far. She focuses and concentrates on specific areas. I felt very relaxed and healed just after one session. Even with deep tissue massage she asks how much pressure is enough or if you need more. Definitely recommend her.

Rebecca is an amazing massage therapist! I've had several good massages in my life but there is just something special about her. I was having lower back pain and after her massage I was so very relaxed and the pain was totally gone. I usually feel better after a massage but to have this pain completely disappear in an hour was more than I expected and pretty incredible. I also had a lot of tension in my shoulders that I wasn't aware of until the massage that she also completely relieved. Rebecca is a very kind, calming presence and creates a soothing, healing, relaxed environment. I

I've used Yelp forever, but it took the help that Rebecca provided with a massage to finally motivate me to create an account so I could leave a review. She is great, intuitive, and healing.
I had seen Rebecca a couple of times for the general benefits of a massage and thought she was great. The best massage I've received, in fact. But massage has never been my primary modality, so that's not what convinced me to sign up for a yelp account to leave a review.
What convinced me to finally write a review is the healing power of her massage for the most random thing. I have had a cough

I was referred to Rebecca by a good friend after sharing my difficulity in finding the right massage therapist. I finally made the appointment and on my first visit I was simply delighted - first by the secure and cozy nook entrance to one of my most favorite vintage buildings downtown Renton (the old Roxy theatre/apartments) then by Rebecca's thoughtful, spot on questions, which right away got me thinking about "what is going on with my body today?", then while checking out I discovered that both my friend and I received a referral bonus -yay!

The room is enchanting, the decor

I had an incredible relaxing and healing body work experience at Raven Body Work with Rebecca. I had a running injury that had been keeping me from running for a couple of weeks and was starting to make walking painful. I saw Rebecca and explained the situation- she gave me a perfect massage focused on balancing out my ankles and lower legs muscles and helping to relax a muscle I had been overusing. My pain with walking was gone the next day and I was working back up to my running routine later that week. The space is beautiful and peaceful on a quiet street in Renton with plenty of parking. One

Rebecca has a natural skill and ability to find the space of healing attuned to what I need and where I'm at. When I see her, she holds space for the peace I need to find comfort in the moment--both emotional and physical. Rebecca intuitively reads the deeper messages from my body's holding, tension and physical patterns to use massage to coax release and nurture ease within my body. Seeing her is a gift to myself.
