Some children are given nitrous oxide/oxygen, or what you may know as laughing gas, to relax them for their dental treatment. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is a blend of two gases, oxygen and nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child's nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep.
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. Dr. Colwick has two years specialty training following dental school and is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. Pediatric dentists are primary and specialty oral care providers for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.
Sealants protect the grooved and pitted surfaces of the teeth, especially the chewing surfaces of back teeth where most cavities in children are found. Made of clear or shaded plastic, sealants are applied to the teeth to help keep them cavity free. Even if your child brushes and flosses carefully, it is difficult and sometimes impossible to clean the tiny grooves and pits on certain teeth.

They were great with my 22 month old, made her completely comfortable, made it fun for her and rewarded her for her patience as well. But my favorite part was that I never waited for the next person to come in the room with a toddler wanting to get into things. As soon as one person was done, the next stepped in. As a mom, I really appreciated the efficiency. Everyone was so kind, helpful and happy and my daughter loves the dentist now.

We were able to get an appt for my daughter very soon and filled out the paperwork online. Once there we were seen promptly and the staff was very nice and worked great with my daughter to put her at ease. They communicated different options with us and explained how everything would work. My daughter did extremely well with everyone!

My child was apprehensive about her visit because of a tooth ache but everyone was really patient with her and they were able to get an X-ray of her back teeth, which she hasn’t been able to do before. Dr. Colwick was very sweet and really proud of her. Thanks for taking the time to make my child more comfortable during her visit.

I’ll start by saying that Dr. Colwick really is a talented and great dentist. She is great at get kids to relax and be brave. The reason for the three stars is this : I have take son here for a while. They will ask to bring him back for a series of appointments and will outline the cost of each. The first appointments will cost little, you will leave and they will ask for a review knowing you will be happy then. By the last appointment you will be paying a lot more and you will realize that instead of everything costing 500 dollars total as stated they have snuck up and made you pay over 700
