Exceptional veterinary care means offering every service your pet could need throughout their lifetime. Each of our services is performed with the utmost skill, compassion, and with the latest technology and equipment, too. The entire history of Bowman Animal Hospital and Cat Clinic revolves around Dr. Gale Bowman's vision that pets deserve the highest quality of veterinary medicine available to them.
She started the practice because she wanted to deliver academic-level, top-of-the-line veterinary medicine in a private practice setting. We built our entire hospital and our team with this core value in mind. For instance, our facility accommodates just about any pet and their needs, including a separate waiting area for cats to keep them from getting anxious around unfamiliar dogs.

No matter what species or breed of pet, they require regular wellness exams to stay healthy. Animals have a survival instinct that makes them very good at hiding illness. Even though they live in safe, comfortable homes, this instinct doesn't go away. That's where pet wellness care comes in. Regular exams help us to catch underlying conditions early so we can treat them faster and more effectively.

We took our baby kitty, Human, to several local vets and they could never seem to diagnose her and provide treatment for her. Her upper respiratory problems kept getting worse every time we took her. We spent a lot of wasted money for poor treatment. But then...there was Bowman...Her first visit to Bowman was the first time she felt safe and had stayed calm at a vet office. The vet and staff were very kind and thorough. The meds they gave her immediately made a difference and they set up plans for aftercare and checked in. It was so easy deciding Bowman was now her vetrinary home. Thank y'all so

The entire staff at Bowman Animal Hospital are outstanding. They understand our "special needs" pets, and work with each one in a caring and thoughtful way. They also actively listen to our concerns without rushing us, to allow for a responsive and thorough health plan for our pets. We have been a happy clients for over 15 years and will continue long into the future. The Randall Family

They are very unskilled and unprofessional when it comes to end of life care for large dogs. They kept badgering us to end our older dog’s life (though he still was enjoying his life), and then got angry at us when we refused to do so. Fortunately we found a wonderful home health veterinarian skilled in end of life/palliative care to take over, and our dog was able to happily live out the rest of his life comfortably, without having to be put down. We now have a new vet for out other pets (Banfield), which has been a nice change.

I’m a bit disappointed in the rudeness from the reception staff coming as a first time paying client on September 21. As a new client, I didn’t know the receipt would be a quick text of a dollar amount and not an itemized list. When I came back inside for clarification and to ask further questions, I didn’t appreciate one receptionist raising her… eyebrows like “what do you want?” and then a second receptionist acting inconvenienced to help and clarify my questions. The reception staff was a disappointing experience as a first time client.

My wife just came back from this place in tears. She is never like this. She is a tough cookie. Sharing because no customer deserves to be treated like this… Here is the review she left on Google.
Let me start by prefacing this… this is the only bad review I have ever written. It also takes a lot to get me upset!
I just left this vet in tears after… my first visit with my sweet senior dog. I am in total shock as to how horribly and unprofessional the reception staff treated me after I questioned the charges.
I was charged $59 for a regular visit and another $72.50 for a holistic

So far we have been very happy to have our pet rats treated here at Bowman Animal Hospital. Exotic pet vets are few and far between in the area and are typically very expensive. We’ve been to Bowman twice now, once for a well/new patient exam and once for a sick visit and found both to be very reasonably priced and thorough. The staff is always delighted to see our babies which nice, especially when you can’t go in with them. I have already recommended them to several other rat owners in the area.

They gave my FeLV positive cat the nasal FVRCP vaccination, which is not recommended for immunocompromised cats, as I learned after the fact. She's now sick, where before she was doing very well and healthy despite being FeLV positive. This was a couple weeks ago and everytime I called concerned because she's showing signs now of an URI, they… brushed me off. They wanted me back in to give her a booster and now want to charge me extra to examine her for the URI that they gave her because the vet administered the wrong vaccine. An injectable vaccine would have been safer for her. These people

I cannot say enough great things about all of the staff at Bowman. The Vets we have seen worked so hard to save my 5 year old dog's life when he was failing due to pancreas and other issues. They were always conscious about the costs and worked creatively with me to find the solution. The front office staff have been so welcoming and make you feel… like you are at home. They remembered my dog's name and cheered on his progress. They worked with me as much as possible on getting him the meds he needed and always with kindness and respect. I am very thankful we found Bowman.
