In 1976, Jim Miller left his job with a general contractor to co-found a construction company with a partner who has since left the business. In 1979, Jim Miller and his growing team acquired a barn in Cressona, Pennsylvania to convert it to a new home for Miller Bros. Construction, Inc. At the point where staff grew to more than 80, the 4,500 sf office had been stretched to the limit.

In 2002, the company purchased a building that once housed the Pennsylvania Anthracite Research Center, a state research facility. Subsequently, after the state closed the research center, the building was used as a dormitory for the Schuylkill campus of the Pensylvania State University. Today Miller Bros Construction Inc. has dozens of projects in the works at any given time.
Services
We work for heroes. Our heroes are manufacturing plant managers and maintenance supervisors. They are the shining stars of their companies because they are flexible when it comes to making changes in work flows and smart in altering processes with minimum disruption. Our heroes are people like you.
Miller Bros. is a versatile, experienced construction company, comprising project managers, engineers, supervisors, tradesmen and support staff. We are able to use our own people and equipment for virtually your entire project, or subcontract services if it better suits your project scope and schedule needs.
Whether you're considering renovations or building new, you'll find many public sector officials place Miller Bros. Construction at the head of the class for education or public works projects. Our experience, expertise and resourcefulness are reflected in scores of public and private school buildings, colleges and universities, municipal buildings, firehouses and other buildings.
Our in-house engineering services team is able to move your project from engineering concept through design to completion more quickly. In an industrial environment this in-house capability means faster progress through the permitting stage and quicker completion for new structures and/or renovations.
We consider every project, even something as simple as a small facility upgrade or repair (like the drain improvement project pictured here), as an opportunity to serve a customer. Several years ago a national manufacturer called us to request a small emergency repair to a loading dock. While there, we were asked to hang a sign.
