Services
We're excited to partner with you for a lifetime of strong, healthy, beautiful smiles. Call 305-662-2599 to schedule your family's checkups, your personal consultation, or a second-opinion visit with Dr. Ortega. We provide comprehensive cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry, for patients from Miami, and all around the world in our inviting Coral Gables dental office.
You can easily prevent tooth decay by brushing and flossing your teeth regularly, seeing your dentist for teeth cleaning and checkups, and avoiding foods that are high in sugar. The combination of bacteria and food causes tooth decay. A clear, sticky substance called plaque that contains bacteria is always forming on your teeth and gums.
A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap - these two anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth - and a false tooth/teeth in between. These false teeth are called pontics and can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants.
Despite improvements in dental care, millions of Americans suffer tooth loss - mostly due to tooth decay, gingivitis (gum disease), or injury. For many years, the only treatment options available for people with missing teeth were bridges and dentures. But, today, dental implants are available. Dental implants are replacement tooth roots.
Dental cleanings involve removing plaque (soft, sticky, bacteria infested film) and tartar (calculus) deposits that have built up on the teeth over time. Your teeth are continually bathed in saliva which contains calcium and other substances which help strengthen and protect the teeth. While this is a good thing, it also means that we tend to get a build-up of calcium deposits on the teeth.

The best of the best. Dr. Nhora and Esteban make me feel at home every time I visit them. I recently had a wisdom tooth removed and it was so well done I hardly had any swelling and felt I could go right back to work. I recommend Dr. Nhora and Esteban to everyone I know.

If you give an appointment for a certain time, you should keep it. I understand that maybe you run a little behind but 1 hr and 10 min later? and the best part is that other people show up and walk right in without waiting not 1 min. I don’t get it. An hour and half later and still no one attended me and that’s with an appointment. I just left.

Never really was a fan of going to the Dentist but I have had my changed completely after going to Dr. Nhora Ortega DDS! I came here for my deep cleaning and regular cleanings and just recently to remove my top two molars. Not only are the they gentle on your gums and teeth during the process but follow up periodically to make sure you are doing well and aware of your next appointment. Dr. Parada was very professional in removing both my top molars by making sure I was physically and mentally prepared by discussing every step of the way and what to expect. He did such a great job that it was over

Stay Away from this dentist. I took my Daughter for a check-up and cleaning to Dr. Ortega's and according to her she has 3 cavities and needed special gingivitis treatment. The cleaning was not regular price, usual less than 100 dollars, it was the special price of $190. Luckily for my daughter we decided to take her to another dentist. This new dentist did the cleaning for less than $100 and did not find any cavities and/or recommendation for gingivitis treatment.

Do not attempt to go this dentist you will provably regret it.

Shame on you Dr. Ortega, I do not wish you well in your practice

I would give Nora Ortega and her office ZERO stars if I could. I went to this office in January 2014. I paid $1,200 for a crown and root canal. After just FIVE months, I as experiencing a lot of pain and went back to Dr. Ortega. She told me that my tooth was broken and that I needed to spend another $5000 on a transplant tooth. Of course, I complained; generally root canals/crowns are supposed to last between 5 and 20 years, NOT just five months. I was told that my tooth had cracks in it and that is why it lasted only 5 months. I asked her why I was not told this BEFORE spending $1,200 on a procedure
