Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Chiro-Works emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Arriving at a doctors office for the first time can be a nerve racking experience. Paperwork to fill out, new faces and names to learn, and getting to know your way around the office; this can hit the senses all the at same time causing overload. In contrast, at Imatrix Management Center our aim is to remove any stressor causing unnessesary tension and make you feel comfortable.
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem.
After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, our doctors will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of the appointment.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.

My experience at Chiro-Works has been fabulous. I highly recommend both Dr. Tanner for chiropractic care, as well as Darryl for massage therapy. These guys are the nicest of humans and also very knowledgeable and caring. Their approach to holistic care is truly top notch in terms of friendliness, supportive attitude, and willingness to personalize a care plan that is right for you. I have been going to Chiro-Works for years. The manipulations are good, and I have also used them for E-Stim due to a back injury from work. They have been working with me on payment options as I made the mistake of not claiming Worker's Comp on another work injury some time prior. Dr. Tara is great and has been very helpful in explaining things to me in regards to navigating Worker's Comp.

Definitely would NOT recommend. Staff is very friendly however; my back feels much worse then it did before I walked in the door!! WAY OVERPRICED!! They also charged me $28.00 to put ice on my back after my adjustment. When I walked out the door my bill was $695.00 I have NEVER paid that much seeing a chiropractor. Overall I had a horrible experience not only does my back hurt but my wallet hurts too☹️

The lady in charge of billing at chiro-works in Freeport is the most rude, unprofessional and ignorant person and I'll never go there again. I picked to go there when I injured my back in a car accident in May. I agreed to pay $10 a week while I was in treatment until the insurance company paid them and then I'd get reimbursed also. My treatment ended a couple months ago and I was having to take off time from work to go in and have appointments. I'm not hardly going to go take off time from work to go make a $10 payment to them when the insurance company is about to pay them in full
