My history began in the very small town of Aynor, South Carolina, I came with my family to live in Charlotte when I was six years old. They moved us here because the public schools had begun to integrate blind students, and they did not want me to be sent to an institution for the blind. In junior high and high school, I participated and excelled in wrestling and beepball, a version of baseball for the blind.
Based on my experience receiving massages, personal research, years of continuing education, and recertification in various modalities, I feel strongly that the most useful of massage benefits is the ability to regain what one has lost and to become pain-free. This benefit above all has motivated me time and time again to double my efforts and take my passion and ability for helping people to the next level.

By far the best solution that I have found to pain and discomfort for the body. Ricky has worked on my leg after a work out injury. I have also had a shin splint fixed in 15 minutes and work on my back and neck. I no longer have to decide who to go to. Ricky is someone you can trust to take care of you, his knowledge and experience does not compete with anyone in the Charlotte region. I can't express how thrilled I am to have found Ricky Prevatte Massage! He has been a like changer for me. I suffer from very tight shoulder and neck muscles. I have had my neck fused back in 2002. I finally found Ricky in November 2016. I should have set up an appointment with him when I seen his advertisement in the little magazine I received in our mailbox when we first moved to the area. In sum, Ricky is wonderful! I came to Ricky only a few weeks ago with a multitude of chronic pain related problems, in addition to a complex health history. I had been to many different specialist, such as chiropractors, physical therapists, pain specialists, etc. I had also been to many good massage therapists, but was finding it hard to find that "right" person for me! Someone who would take the time I required due to the complexity of my situation, who had extensive knowledge, who used a multitude of modalities and techniques, and could think outside the box!
