Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pet's health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.
Losing a pet can be very scary. Here are some helpful tips on how to quickly bring your furbaby home safely. The first thing to do is file a missing pet report with ACCT. You can view some of the pets that are currently at their facility to see if they have your pet there. You may also visit their office to view all animals currently being kept there.

We have a senior dog (18!) who isn't the best with strangers or the vet, and Dr. Harris and her team always go above and beyond to see her when she has an issue, fully explain what is going on and review our choices for treatment. Dr. Harris is the only vet that I have used at this facility but the rest of the staff seems just as wonderful.

Dr Jones and her team are simply the best! I have regularly followed Dr Jones for 7 years at her clinics in Germantown (The Animedic on Germantown Ave and One Love Veterinary) and Manayunk (The Animedic on Jamestown Ave).
The Animedic location on Jamestown Ave is immaculately clean and cute! This clinic is Covid-19 cautious, everyone wears masks and waits near the doors at the front. There is ample street parking outside and the veterinary clinic is easy to locate. The treatment rooms are spacious, cute and adorned with animal lover art.
Dr Jones genuinely demonstrates professional, pet-centered

Thanks to the pandemic, I haven’t actually met any of the staff at Animedic (and my husband typically takes our dog in), but over the phone and email they have been super informative and helpful! Dr. Harris never makes me feel rushed when I have questions (we adopted a senior dog with a ton of health problems so I have a lot of questions). They also squeezed us in for a same day appointment when a cyst on our dog’s leg burst and she was bleeding—I really appreciated that because I know how busy vet practices are lately (and we’d rather take her to Animedic than an ER).

If I could give a negative star rating I would. This is the worst veterinary experience I have ever had. Getting our first appointment for our new puppy was easy. I have absolutely no complaints on that but less than a week after he was scene a cough developed. I called to either get another appointment ASAP or to see about an over the phone prescription since he was just scene. He is only three months old. I was told that we would receive a callback with his prescription…. We never got one. I called two days after being told that and received their voicemail. I left a voicemail explaining the

I have a cat that is older. They were very quick with me and at times when I had genuine health questions, often times I couldn't get an honest answer (it would take more than a little time to receive a response). I find those qualities u acceptable, especially when you have a senior pet (whether that be a cat or dog). Veterinary care should he personalized and compassionate

I cannot say enough about Animedic! My dog, Chewy, has been going here for about 5 years. She recently experienced a lot of eye complications and the staff and doctors at Animedic have been amazing! I felt myself calling sometimes 2-3 times a day and the staff are always so caring and patient with my thousands of questions. As a dog owner, you want to feel that people love them as much as you and I feel that plus some at Animedic! Chewy has had two surgeries and a procedure at Animedic and she’s been treated with so much love. They always come through on medications, even when specialists don’t

Used to be absolutely great, but they have gone downhill dramatically. I've received multiple misdiagnosis' over the past 2 months from them. Arrogant & dismissive staff who treat questions as if you're challenging their intelligence/expertise. Premium prices for subpar service; for the same cost you can go to one of the more prestigious vets around, while being afforded the peace of mind that comes from knowing your loved one is getting the best possible care.
5 stars for their ability to feign being genuinely caring people and deflecting responsibility from themselves.

The vets here are so caring and really know their stuff. I appreciate them so much! They've taken care of my pup Ollie for years and even saw my cat Artemis when she wasn't feeling well one time even though she wasn't their normal patient. The entire staff is awesome and the location is very convenient. Prices are very reasonable as well. I usually come out of there with money left in my pockets.

Since I moved to Philly, I have been seeing Jennifer. She is very knowledgeable, caring, and friendly. I really like her.
The office is doing a very good job of COVID-19 Protocol from the early on. So, I feel very safe with this clinic.
The reason I give only 4 stars is that the office is a bit sloppy - after a blood test, doctor says "Office will call you", and staff says "Doctor will call you". So, there is a bit of disfunction here. I end up calling the office.
And another thing is it seems like the staff turnover is a bit high? Can not say for 100% certainty

I've taken my dog here a few times over the past years and the service was usually great. Recently they've been overwhelmed and under staffed and it shows in both their customer service and the way the pets are taken care of. About 6-8 weeks ago I called here because I noticed my dog had trouble urinating and one day she peed blood. I called to get her an appointment and they didn't have anything for about 2 weeks but said if she continued to pee blood take her to an emergency vet. Thankful she didn't pee blood again but she continued to struggle urinating and started peeing

My first visit was a pleasant experience. Great staff. Clean office. I would definitely recommend. Only tip is to do your own research for treatment options after diagnoses. I asked for a natural option and wasn't presented with any. I opted not to administer the prescription that was recommended for my cat as there were too many harmful side effects. I found an all natural medicine online that is working just fine.

I mostly like this vet fine for standard visits, less a few points. I keep coming because it's so close and I don't want to keep my cats in the car longer than necessary, and the people who work here are very friendly. That being said, I find the quality of care really and customer service really inconsistent.
In the last year and a half I've been bringing my cats here I've experienced things like being charged wrong amounts, being charged (and almost charged) for services not rendered, very long wait times for scheduled visits - all things that just require a little more

This place is great. The prices seem to be average (which is good! I don't want to overpay and I also don't want a cheap price to get cheap care), they will price match prescriptions, and everyone I've met has always been cheerful and helpful. I haven't had any major issues with my dog (thank god), I've only been there for regular check ups and the typical new dog-parent vet visits.

I had to encounter under the sad circumstances of learning that my elderly cat had cancer and ultimately had Animedic help me put him down. The staff there was so kind and so thoughtful and really helped me through that terribly sad process. I also recently adopted a kitten through Animedic and it's been such a wonderful experience. I'm just always impressed by the intimacy of the staff and how they all remember my name and the kitten I adopted from them. The only downside is that they are rather pricey, but at least I feel like I am really paying for good service. I would highly

I recently got an email from a doctor at the Animedic explaining that it was not an overdose of proin that my dog experience as I stated in my review from 2017, but an adverse reaction to the prescribed level of proin, and that my dog required a smaller dose. I wanted to update this review to reflect that information she provided to me.

I took my 2.5 YO German Shepard, Luna, to the Animedic for severe itching around the ears. They told me it was a skin condition and prescribed prednisone along with an antibiotic. The itching never stopped, so I took my pup back, upon which time they simply renewed the same prescriptions. I specifically pointed out the ear issues, yet they tossed it up to "just a skin condition."
Since the itching never stopped, I took Luna to see a different vet. This veterinarian did the check up with me watching and immediately swabbed her ears and discovered a severe ear infection. Do not take your

We've taken our pets to Dr. Jones for years (3 cats and a dog) - we followed her from her previous practice to opening her own location. We drive 30-40 minutes from Blue Bell because of the care she provides. When our cat Mulder needed to be euthanized, she came to our home to take care of him compassionately, and we had to beg her to charge us. Finally, when we were looking for boarding services for our dog, all we needed to know about the location we chose, was that Dr. Jones was their house vet; she's the Good Veterinarian Seal of Approval!

Nice & knowledgeable staff but thought it was a little bizarre the vet didn't know what Trifexis was. Then I got a $79 charge for a heart-worm check which I should have said no to but was lost in the moment. My dog has been on Trifexis from the beginning when I got her as a puppy a little over a year ago. This was a unnecessary test, my bad I guess :/ I'm a full time student so money does not grow on trees right now

The entire staff at Animedic is great! My dog is a little crazy around other animals sometimes and they help manage this and make great suggestions. I never thought of getting my dog a thundercoat for being reactive.
The major reason I am writing this review is from my recent experience with them. We brought my dog is because she was limping and not putting any pressure on her hind leg. She ended up needing a TPLO surgery to repair her ACL tear. Instead of doing it in house and getting the money for the surgery themselves, Dr. Heller referred us out to the best doggy surgeon in PA.
