After closing its doors earlier this year, we are excited to announce that The Swamp Restaurant is coming back to Gainesville! We can't wait to #SYAS in 2022 for Marg Mondays, gameday tailgates, and lunch between classes. After twenty-five years, a temporary closure, and a spirited campaign by the Gator Nation, The Swamp is returning in 2022 - all thanks to our loyal patrons.

Went there for lunch and even though there were only two other tables there, it still took forever to get our food. Also, the food came out cold. I ordered the swamp grits that were supposed to have shrimp and crab. The grits were cold and clumpy, the sauce was lukewarm, and there was no crab in the dish on the slight taste of it in the sauce. Not worth $13

Great bar if you're in Gainesville. Very big bar with inside and outside and upstairs areas to hang out. The staff works hard and makes good drinks. It's also very close to the stadium so you can walk back and forth. Also good bar food and lots of fun. Definitely going back next time I'm in Gainesville

We had their nachos and they weren't bad. They weren't my favorite but they were still good. I personally had a pretty good meal which I included in the pictures and the fries were absolutely delicious. Parking was a little confusing but that's to be expected in the area. I'm pretty satisfied with the experience my family had here. They only have Pepsi products though :(
