Gator China

I really love gator China, their food is so much better than the other Chinese place we used to go to which I won't name but their food is better and their prices are better so it's definitely a win-win. Generally our food comes out about 2 to 3 dollars cheaper for a two person order and the food is way better. So glad I decided to look at yelp instead of going to our same old Chinese restaurant this place is far superior.

We love gator China! It's our go to for lunch because the special is a great deal. I love how you get your entree AND a soup/drink. I always choose the soup. The orange chicken is the best and I love the broccoli. Typical take out place but they just do it right!!!

I've been to this Gator China several times. I'd say that the quality of the food is decent. It wouldn't call it "NY Chinese Restaurant" quality, but I'd say the quality is decent for Chinese American Chinese Food in Gainesville. I like stopping by Chinese American restaurants for nostalgic purposes because they remind me of when I lived in New York City and because I love some of their entrees and sides. This time, I tried the Wonton Soup large portion. It is a solid meal, with plenty of dumplings and noodles. I paid $3.40, and I'd say it is a good value for

The food was pretty good and the staff was nice- but the wait time was crazy. My friend and I waited at least 30 minutes for our food, probably more. If you’re going to eat here you should order ahead.

Really yummy. Very quick and friendly. I am gluten free so I brought my own gluten free soy sauce and they were willing to fry my rice with it.

As a vegan customer, their Bean Curd with Homestyle just plain rocks. This nearby restaurant also delivers at a reasonable rate. CS is family-owned and run. Give them a try. You will become a loyal customer!

Best Chinese takeout place in Gainesville. It is never crowded and they get the food out pretty quickly. I got the honey chicken wings there and the fried chicken wings which are really good. The staff is really friendly and knows how to communicate with you. It's a basic takeout menu and all the food I've had or my friends have had has been good

My go to spot for take out chinese. The people here are very nice and they are quick with delivery orders. I've never had a bad experience with any food I've gotten from here!

I would say about average, hot, nothing surprising but edible. I might return if we all want fast Chinese food.

Absolutely Delicious! General Tso...Crispy texture with the perfect amount of spice! The fried dumplings were scrumptious! The fried rice had wonderful caramelized onions and scallions...authentic fried rice! We just moved to laogo and had a hard time finding good Chinese food... they exceeded our expectations... and they deliver!

Alright taste. Added Pepper + a couple of sauces delicious and served pretty hot. You guys should make it hotter though and the beef noodles I got were basically only noodles no beef. Not worth 9$ more like $3.

As someone whose tried just about every Chinese joint around here, this one is undoubtedly the best. What's immediately apparent is how fresh their ingredients are when compared to say, China 88, Wok N Roll or China Wok.

Their simple vegetable soup is delightfully comforting and fresh. Spring rolls are less greasy than most places and a good size (not too big, not too small) and their mapo tofu is savory and a great compliment to literally any of the other dishes as a sauce/dip. Don't take what I just said lightly - get the mapo tofu as a side dish for everyone to share if anything.

Excellent food and even better customer service. My girlfriend loves their dumplings, and loves the sauce that comes with them even more. She went in today with an odd question.. can she buy a LOT of that sauce to take home? Not only were they extremely nice about it, but they also sold her an entire pint of it for $2, and she’ll surely be back to buy more!

Good steamed dumplings! Friendly service. -1 star for no delivery option. Minimal seating at the facility for dining in (but I wouldn't because the floor is not well kept.) Thank goodness the kitchen looks neat and tidy!

Absolutely delicious. One of the best take out meals I have had in years. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating too. Better the some full service restaurants I have been at. Highly recommend. Our plates were overflowing.

I have been eating here for about a year the food is great. I recommend the broccoli beef, sweet sour chicken and pork, honey chicken and beef with vegetable.My only issue lately has been that the fried rice the peas are still frozen or not cooked.

Update:
I thought I'd give this place another shot. My order remained the same but my experience differed. The sweet and sour sauce was about as viscous as water. It kind of just poured right through the chicken. Not so much a sauce as it was a soup. The pork-fried rice that came with the combo continues to lack a meaningful portion of actual pork. 6-8 small bits of pork in the entire dish. Pork-fried rice should have pork in it. The overall taste of the meal wasn't good.
While the meal is only $8.51, it's not something I'd enjoy regardless of the price. There are better options around town.

First visit, very pleased! I'm not sure why other reviewers are complaining about the chew mein not having noodles. It was very clear on the menu that it didn't contain noodles, and they mentioned it again when I ordered. Yes, I wanted the shredded vegetables, as described. It was very good! The Singapore Noodles were fantastic, and the pork fried rice. Also some of the best egg rolls I've had at a small place like this.

Okay because I just found my FAVORITE Chinese food eatery!! Oh. My. Gosh. For fast take-out (BTW, thanks Bite Squad for delivering my food fast and hot!! ), this place is just awesome. The food was so good; big pieces of pork in the pork fried rice and plenty of pork too; the "small" ribs were actually enough to feed 2 people and the egg rolls were delish!! This will def be my new go to place for Asian cuisine.

This was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. It tasted so bad that I threw away both dinners. I did enjoy the spring roll and rice but the meat is horrible.

This place has been open for about a year according to the lady taking my order at the counter. You can order online, call in your order (apparently a lot of people do that based on the time I was there and the traffic of people picking up their food) or order at the restaurant and takeout or dine-in. There's a sufficient amount of seating.

The inside is all white walls and seemed to be very clean upon entering. The bathrooms are also very well maintained and nicer than I had expected. Clean with a modern hot air hand dryer. Fun! :)

Hot and sour soup was really good; smoky flavor and not oily. Shrimp with lobster sauce and side of veggies was good; huge portions and inexpensive. Quick and friendly service.

I'm giving this fours stars because of value, cleanliness, and friendliness. You get a massive amount of rice, entree, soup, and crispy noodles for $5.99. Choices of soup are wonton or egg drop but I substituted hot and sour for 50c extra, which was honestly the best hot and sour I've had in town. The pork fried rice is good, but the honey chicken was nothing special. Could be because I ordered something as bland as honey chicken.

Very clean kitchen and environment fast, non greasy made to order! My preferred take out place.
