Dr. Nadia Tabachnik received her DDS degree at the prestigious Odessa State Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine. After graduation, she enjoyed practicing as a general dentist for five years in Westwood, Los Angeles. Dr. Tabachnik is currently serving as Clinical Assistant Professor Division of Endodontics, Orthodontics & General Practice Residency at U.S.C.
Dr. Samantha Cheung received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of SUNY Stony Brook School of Dentistal Medicine with Cum Laude honors. I felt the office was very professional from Inga the office manager, Nino the dental assistant and of course Dr. Dekano.
X-rays and photographs were taken of my teeth and the full explanation of my treatment plan was given by the doctor.
I am not the best patient given my past experiences but I felt comfortable in the office especially with Nino the Dental Assistant She was very patient, kind and empathetic.
On August 14, 2021 I actually had my visit where I had to have work done. I can’t tell you how comfortable I felt in the office. From the office manager Inga to the wonderful assistant

I really liked the dentist he's very kind professional and very clear in the issues I had with my teeth. He did a great job and helping to make my teeth more healthy. However the woman who took ex rays and cleaned my teeth at the end I felt didn't clean them good enough. She rushed and kinda wasn't holding instruments correctly in my mouth to clean properly which led to discomfort. I had to tell her it hurt the way she was cleaning my teeth. She didn't seem to change. She didn't seem very social with me. I miss the other women who was always kind to me and would talk to me. She made my experience

I'm incredibly pleased with the service here! I went in today for 2 tooth extractions, was seen within a few minutes, and Dr. Dekano bedside manner is excellent. She regularly asked me how I was doing during the extractions and made me feel very comfortable. The office was clean and the receptionist was really nice. Thank you Inga for getting me in fast..

I am so glad I found them! I haven't been to a dentist in a while cause I had anxiety due to some and past experience but Dr Dekano totally understood it and took it into consideration when working on my dental issues. I have some other work that needs to be done and I finally feel comfortable going to the dentist again! I have already referred them to a few friends! Also Inga at the front desk is the best...we pretty much became friends : ) see you soon!

Dr.Dekano is the most professional dentist , ive ever been with ! Since 2015 .she is very friendly and make you feel very comofortable.she explains everything in detail and also gives you tips how to take care afterwards. My experience was not as good as the other reviewers. A few years ago I came to her as a new patient. Her analysis was that I needed several thousand of dollars worth of treatments including two cavities, a bridge and crown replacement as well as gum surgery in one area.
When I asked about the co-payment for all of the above, the prices seemed much higher than I had paid for two NON metal crowns in previous years. I contacted my insurance to go over the fees and found that they had augmented the real co-payment by over $300 for the crown alone.

I found Dr Dekano on yelp after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I did. I hate going to the dentist but I just went for a routine check-up and cleaning. She was very gentle and the whole experience was actually quite enjoyable considering this is something I usually dread.

I was always avoiding the dentist because of the anxiety it would cause BUT!! This place made me feel like i was family and never will i have that uncomfortable feeling again and i love it. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. I have recommended them to all my family and they all love it and thank me after there visit. Every dental office should be like this one.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!!! I am appalled by the way this office is run. I went in for my semi-annual check up and was charged a $15 co-pay which I later found out was supposed to be $0. Dr. Dekano found 5 cavities..the same # she found a year ago (coincidence..maybe) even though I brush and floss every day (ok...it could happen..I dont dispute that) but I asked for a price quote from Elena (her front office manager) and was told she would email it to me. I did not receive the email. I called and emailed again asking for the price quote. I eventually got it 4 days later on a Friday at 4:30pm

I have been going to Dr. Dekano for years now and she's amazing. I remember I had a huge headache and toothache and didn't know what it was, so went to get it checked and she told me I needed to get my wisdoms removed. The same day she pulled all four wisdoms and it didnt take that long and didn't hurt at all! I usually never like going to the dentist and I hate needles, but she was very caring, and it felt calming when she did the procedure. She talked to me most of the time to make sure I was ok. Dr. Dekano has been giving me expert dental treatment since I was in the 9th grade. I'm 30 now and in the past 16 years I've always had an accurate assessment of care, completeness of procedures from cleanings to root canals, and gentleness of touch by this dentist. I received a price quote from Dr. Dekano's receptionist regarding some dental work that needed to be done. I needed a new crown to replace my old front tooth crown. The receptionist estimated it would be about $800. About a month later I went in to get the work done. Once I sat in the dental chair, and AFTER she numbed my mouth, Dr. Dekano once again went over pricing with me. This time I was told the new crown would cost $1,600 and I would have to drive out to Irvine to visit a special lab so they could do some color matching. She is the best dentist I know. I tried 3 different dentists before I found dr. Dekano. She puts me at ease. She is very attentive to patient's concerns. I didn't even feel my root canals. I actually have a different, regular dentist who I love and have been going to for years. The only reason why I tried changing dentists for this one routine cleaning was because my work-provided insurance changed to HMO and thought I'd try a dentist that took the insurance (not easy). So, I ended up at this place. Big mistake.
I knew something was wrong when on the forms they asked how much deductible you had left on your insurance(!). That alone told me that I was in for a scamming and I should have left right then but decided that since I was already there I'd give her the benefit
