I was recently in search of a new dental office and this happened to be in-network. I was a bit hesitant finding a new dentist, but decided to give this place a try given the Yelp reviews. THANK YOU fellow Yelpers because you steered me in the right direction again!

I called the office and they helped me set up an appointment quickly. My previous dental office was always crazy packed. I went into the office and was greeted by Anna, Office Manager, who was very pleasant. I made my way into one of the rooms and David, RDH, started the exams. He was very detailed and talked me through the process

This office is just plain fantastic the staff are wonderful people. They treat everyone with respect no matter how embarasing your perticular problem is. I wouldn't have nearly the problems with my teeth if i had found this office sooner. Thank you all at Hitomi.

Hitomi Dentistry is one of the best dental office ever. The Dr. Kanemaki is such intelligent , clean. He saved my daughters molar tooth. She was about to get a root canal and Dr Kanemaki saved her tooth. My son referred me to Dr Kanemaki. I brought myself , I referred a friend from church . I will bring my other two kids and the rest of my friends and family . The staff are so nice specially David. David cleaned my teeth and talked to me while cleaning my teeth . Friendly staff is great, however I was overcharged for the procedure. I had to involve my insurance company to find out what I should have paid. I was told by front office I should get a refund after my insurance company paid their share. My insurance company has offered to get involved if I don’t receive a refund.
I’ve been going here for over 30 years and never had a problem until now. Very disappointed!!

I Love Love my dentist office! Everyone is friendly! If your appointment is at 8AM (example) you will be seen at 8 as long as you are not late. I have never waited more than 2 minutes to get seen. Simply amazing, gentle and they always make me feel so comfortable (I'm a big sissy). Thank you for your service.

I have been going to Dr Kanemaki's father for pretty much my entire life. Trent used to even practice at that office from time to time. I got new insurance through my work recently and his father's office unfortunately doesn't take my insurance, however Trent's office does. I'm weird when it comes to routine and so not being able to go to the original dentist I've been going to my whole life, I kinda freaked out a bit. So when I found out Trent's office takes it, I made my appointment.
I have to get a lot of stuff done unfortunately but Trent is the next best thing to his dad and I'm excited to

All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. I arrived early, and the hygienist was ready. He thoroughly and quickly cleaned my teeth while maintaining pleasant conversation. They took a few seconds to schedule my next appointment, and I was done.

New patient here and their process was very smooth. Completed all paperwork via DocuSign prior to visit. Upon arrival for my appointment, was taken straight to the exam room. X-rays, examination & cleaning all took only roughly 1 hour. Everyone was very friendly, thank you and see you in 6 months!

Everything was fine until the receptionist mentioned that my insurance was basically a gift card I feel like she was condescending me me and it left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably will not be going back. Not everyone can have the best insurance people have to start somewhere I don't think that the receptionist should give her opinion about anyone's insurance.

Live a few blocks away so after looking at their reviews I decided to give them a chance. I have always had bad experiences at the dentist office for various reasons. As soon as I walked in the vibe was very friendly and attentive. They made me feel welcome and took care of my issues while at the same time giving me helpful advice for dental care.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the entire staffs. They welcomed me as if we know for a long time and comforted me and gave me most kind gesture I’ve never gotten from any other dental offices. From accommodation for the appointments to waiting time and actual treatment time, the fastest service I have ever received. I was very impressed. There was no pain either. Accounting department is also very organized. It’s clearly and simply presented with no confusion. Fees are very reasonable. They take PPO met life which is why I first decided to come cause this place is near my parents' place but I keep coming back even from the west LA and make the super long drive because I love this office. Anna the receptionist is super professional and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff! I've had so much work done here I can't say enough about everyone. I've never been excited to get teeth cleanings or for dental work but that all changed when I started coming to hitomi. Been my family dentist for years and was always treated right until now. trent is a great dentist but the owner is money hungry .went for a tooth ache that a year ago they said was a reseeding gum line and to brush with pronamel. after $140 for xrays and no work done they say they need to remove three teeth and do lazer treetment at the cost of $8500 dollars? it's been two weeks i am in horrible pain and totaly disappointed in humanity.do yourself a favor do some research this place is a joke and they don't have your best interest.

I'm picky when it comes to dentists (I actually get a lot of anxiety about dentist appointments), so when I find a good one, I want to share it with anyone who is looking for a positive experience. Dr. Trent Kanemaki and his office really do deserve the 5 star rating!
