Our van started making a very weird sound on our way to a softball tourney in pigeon forge. It just so happened that this occurred right before the exit that Surber's auto repair is on. Chad diagnosed right away that it was a water pump issue. He told us he would get it in within the week, but couldn't get it in right away.

I'm not from the area and ended up getting super lost. I drove here so I could ask for directions and the man who helped me was extremely nice and genuinely made my whole week. I haven't used their services yet, but if I'm ever in the area and am having car troubles or know of someone who is, Surber's will be my first choice.

My first time and went by the reviews from Google Maps. Well Gene the father and Chad the son attended my car issues with the air-conditioning system. I was very please fixed in 3 hours and the price I paid was fair. I spoke in detail with Chad and Gene and I am a good judge of character and these people are trustworthy. All 100% recommendable. Will be back! Well, today 7/28 basically roll in with no electric by a miracle. Chad replaced my alternator and back on the road again. Second visit very satisfied!!! Gene , Chad have a great Vacation!!

I just used Surber's for the first time recently, they did some work on my Volkswagen CC. I was very impressed with how Chad kept me updated and in the loop throughout the whole process. He goes into great detail about what's going on with the car and what they are doing. The quality of work was phenomenal and very well priced. I will be using Surber's for a very long time.

I called garage about my car to see if if could be looked at. It had a major oil leak. Took it to shop. A day later i was called and told it needed valve cover gaskets. I was told it would be $300 plus dollars and would have a one yr warranty on the parts/labor. A few days later i received a call saying car was ready with no leaks. I pick the car up a few days later. Noticed a puddle under car when i picked it up. Garage was already closed. Drove it home. Car sat in driveway for a week. My family and I were on vacation when our minivan quit us, leaving me stranded and vulnerable in an unfamiliar city and state. Since 2002, upon recommendation from a neighbor, I've been taking my vehicles to Surber's Service on Hwy 18 in Florence, KY. My first impression was it appeared to be an old mechanic's shop from back in the 1960's. Well, that's exactly what it is. Except today, Chad Surber is trained and equipped to handle all the latest technologies. We took my husbands truck in when it stopped running and asked them just to make it run again. They quoted us at 4000, the truck wasn't even worth that much. Took it to another garage who got it running for 550, and said his itemized bill was laughable. Some of the things on the list he wouldn't even replace!!!!!!

My husband had his car towed there after some recommendation from a family member. It was the weekend so we waited till Monday then called about it. My husband was told it was one issue and it was a quoted 250 and that it should be fixed by Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon came and he was told his car was done. Goes to pick it up and we are stuck with a bill of twice as much, over 550 bucks from the quoted 250. For some 13 years, my wife and I have gone from recommending Surber to distrusting him. In the recent past, his charges have gone from fair to excessive. Of concern is not only the amount of charges, but the types of add-on charges that a customer would not anticipate or consider fair-minded. For example, $47 added for a car battery instillation. Courteous questions were often met with sarcasm. Appealing to Surber's sense of fairness was coldly rejected. However, our stated intent to seek consumer protection resulted in Surber dropping a couple of key add-ons. This made the bill a bit more
