Services
My profession means to me that I can be a dentist and an educator, which enables me to make a difference in people's lives on a daily basis. Working with so many unique people every day makes me realize that every person and situation is different, and at Dentistry for Children, we treat everyone and every situation individually.
At Dentistry for Children, we love making kids smile! The health of our patients and the elimination of dental disease though excellent pediatric dental care, compassion, and patience is the goal we strive to achieve. Encourage parents to participate in their child's oral home care and overall dental health.
Preparing your child for that first visit can be an intimidating experience. Dr. Maher suggests you use children's stories that describe a trip to the dentist as a positive tool for very young children. Parents should convey good feelings to children about dental visits being a part of growing up, and adopt a positive approach to dental care.
Dentistry For Children is a fee-for-service practice. We ask that you pay for your office visits and treatments at the time service is rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and CareCredit. If you anticipate a problem paying for your child's dental care, please discuss this with the receptionist prior to your appointment.
A general dentist typically has four years of dental school plus one year of post graduate training. They work with people of all ages. A pediatric dentist has four years of dental school plus two to three years of post graduate specialized training. Pediatric dentists see infants, children, pre teens and teenagers.

My daughter has been coming here since she was six (6) months old. Now my stepchildren come here. I wouldn't trust anyone else. The staff has watched my children grow. They treat their patients and family like family. I can't think of any other dentist that is better.

Dr. Rachel Maher and her staff are amazing. My son isn’t afraid to go to the dentist anymore. They make sure to encourage him when he’s doing well and are understanding when he’s not so happy about a procedure. I absolutely recommend her practice to any parent looking for an amazing dentist for their child!
