NLP CPAs
The core of our team are our CPAs. They've spent years preparing to provide accounting, tax and financial advice. They earned undergraduate and graduate college degrees, passed the demanding CPA Exam, maintain State licenses, adhere to CPA ethical standards, and must complete 120 additional hours of continuing professional education every three years in order to be Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

Each CPA also maintains other certifications and/or designations that provide specialized skills to serve our clients. In addition to our CPAs, we have several team members who are degreed accountants and Intuit Certified ProAdvisors, and several administrative team members who provide support services to the CPAs and accountants.
Services
We are down-to-earth CPAs that develop accounting systems which are executable by your staff, or user friendly reports (if outsourcing). These objectives must be achievable, to enhance team cohesion. Whether it's as your outsourced bookkeepers, accountants, and/or CFOs, or as your independent CPAs, we always work as a team both internally and with your firm.
We will conduct our compilation in accordance with Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The objective of a compilation is to assist client's management in presenting financial information in the form of financial statements without undertaking to obtain or provide any assurance that there are no material modifications that should be made to the financial statements. We will provide you with a compiled Balance Sheet, a related Income Statement, and when appropriate, a Statement of Cash Flows.
Accounting is the act of gathering, recording, and reporting transactions to create a picture of a business's operating performance and financial position. When executed with proper attention to detail, this information creates a strong foundation for decisions that will keep your business competitive.
Our business clients face a common issue: purchasing "user friendly" software isn't enough to meet a business's bookkeeping needs. Without a basic knowledge of accounting, even setting up a chart of accounts can't be done properly, and all too often "logical" data entry ends up being, at best, inconsistent, and at worst, just plain wrong.
The level of service is determined by your needs as the client, and what your creditors and/or investors require. The higher the level of service required, the more time the CPA needs to complete the engagement and therefore the more costly the engagements. While privately held companies opt for compiled or reviewed statements, credit agreements with lenders often require audited statements.

I have had NLP CPA work with me for several years. Before it was a good experience, however since my case was handed off to a new young associate, quality and service became completely unacceptable. Wrong information, unanswered emails, and just before tax season being told they didnt want to work with me anymore due to my unique issues and them thinking it was worth their time. For almost $700 I spent with them last year alone, this is unacceptable. If you are going to use NLP CPAs, please ask not to be assigned their young associate.
