At SuperKids Pediatric Dentistry, our primary goal is to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your child to receive optimal dental care. Dr. Liu believes that a successful dental visit starts the moment you and your child walk through the front door. Our staff is passionate and dedicated to welcoming your family with open arms, and they love to interact with children from tiny tots all the way to fully grown high school seniors!
The first "regular" dental visit should be no later than your child's first birthday. We will gently examine your child's teeth and gums. X-rays may be taken to reveal decay and check on the progress of your child's permanent teeth under the gums. We may clean your child's teeth and apply topical fluoride to help protect the teeth against decay.
Anxiety can be an issue that both children and adults suffer from before going to the dentist. Sometimes the level of anxiety is so high, that it can interfere with the dental procedure. In these cases, we recommend a very safe and effective solution called sedation. Sedation is a common alternative that will help a patient relax before and during his dental treatment.
Dr. Liu will make every effort to administer local anesthetics (novocaine) in a gentle and comfortable manner to his patients. We understand that some treatments come with inevitable pain to bare through, so our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. As far as the duration of numbness and the kind of drug that was used, circumstances vary from patient to patient.
In the event that you are having an emergency situation, we will do our very best to see you the day of. It is however, important we coordinate our schedules accordingly not just for you, but for our other patients as well. Dr. Liu provides a variety of pediatric dental services that sometimes require an allotted amount of time to complete a procedure.

Absolutely fantastic pediatric dentist. The Sterling office staff was so wonderful to my very nervous 3 year old. The office itself is very clean and set up to keep patients socially distant. Dr Merdad was fantastic and able to check my daughters teeth despite her unwillingness to do so. By the end my daughter was excited to go back

I took my son here and I was nervous about how he would do/feel, but this place is amazing!! All of their staff was super friendly, polite and professional. They made the experience enjoyable and fun for us. I even appreciated the extra follow-up call to check in on my son hours after his appointment. I highly recommend them!!

This office seems to have done a great job of cultivating an environment and a culture where kids feel welcomed and safe. All of the employees, from the doctors to the assistants to the secretaries, are always smiling, friendly, and clearly understand how to make children feel safe, relaxed, and to have fun. They're very patient and comforting towards the kids, explaining as they go, making jokes. In addition to the great attitude toward the kids, the office is very well decorated for kids with colorful murals and TVs everywhere (one over every single dental chair) playing animated movies to help
