Village Insurance Agency was founded in 1964 by T.M. Edwards who moved his office from downtown San Antonio to the adjacent small town of Helotes in order to have a closer relationship with his customers and the community. Several years later in 1987, in anticipation of retirement, Mr. Edwards brought in as partners, Murray Hacker, Sr. and his son, Murray (Bubba) Hacker, Jr.
