Your real estate agent will open the escrow for you. As soon as you execute your purchase agreement/joint escrow instructions, you agent will place your initial deposit into an escrow account with a closing company such as Nexus Escrow, Inc. When the decision is made to purchase a property, terms and conditions are established for the ownership transfer of the property.

Unfortunately, for us we were stuck with this escrow company as the seller gets to choose. There was an error back from 2017 (the issue has since been resolved) John was not helpful at all. He was unprofessional and rude. I told him multiple times I was the only point of contact in the matter and yet he still called my husband. He then called me and started asking me questions that were none of his business (and frankly inappropriate) and had absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand. Do NOT use this company!!

Wow. What a joke of a business! We were basically forced to use this company, because the buyer got to choose. Maybe if you're Vietnamese, they would be good for you, but in the process of trying to find out why we were being charged for certain fees, you would've thought that we insulted someone's mother. John was very rude and defensive when we questioned things. Avoid this company at all costs.
