I apologize for this belated review. I went to Dr. Yu's office based on the great reviews on YELP.
I was given a thorough consultation and exam. A cleaning appointment was scheduled through Jessica.
The cleaning was done by Daisey and was exceptional. The experience was painless. My teeth felt just like new. Can't wait until my next cleaning.
Also, Dr. Yu's office offers insurance at $350.00 a year. It covers 2 cleanings and 20% off other procedures. That beats the $856.00 a year I was paying for 2 cleanings a year through AARP. X-rays every 2 - 3 years would be additional. My

Dr. Yu was quite meticulous and thorough in her assessment and plan of care. She was also very gentle.
Today was my first day in that office, and I was also quite impressed with Jessica and the rest of the medical team. They were all very accommodating and diligent in ensuring that patients felt safe in light of COVID.

If you're scared/hate going to the dentist, go see Dr. Yu! Dr. Yu and her staff couldn't be more kind, professional, sensitive, and patient. They don't shame or judge you they just help! Also, how many dentists perform their own cleanings?! Dr. Yu did and she was great! Don't wait, this was the best dental experience possible! Also if you're going to get x-rays wait for Nicole to do it, she will have you laughing and couldn't be more positive! Great experience overall!

I've increased my stars after having some dental work done and having experienced Dr.Yu's talent.
I went in today to have an old crown replaced. It's a two step process that isn't what I would call fun. But Dr.Yu certainly made it quite okay.
I'm a hard person to numb but she hung in there and made it happen. Once every thing was good and thick ( how my mouth feels when the drugs take hold) she went to work. It didn't take long to get the old crown off and the tooth prepped for the temporary crown. I didn't realize that the temp was a little high on one side

Got lost looking for the office, called and was Jessica answered the phone. She was super friendly, and told be where to go. Dr. Yu- It was great meeting you and how I wished I had chosen you when I first moved over to the East Bay. I came to Dr. Yu after my horrific experience with Gentle Dental.
Anyhow, Dr. Yu was gentle, helpful, explained everything in detail. She explained to me on how to brush properly, and floss properly did my cleaning. Yeah, (bad habits) I just have to say she is the best- and I don't want to share my secret. But- look no further. The best is in the neighborhood

Visiting the dentist is like a box of See's chocolate.. never know what your gonna get. And it's always not the right one. But you always have to go and try one.
