Making decisions to change, improve, or even know what you want can be difficult. You've begun the process by knowing you want something to change in your life. Don't stop now. Choose a therapist you can connect with, who you feel comfortable with, is non-judgmental, supportive, compassionate and experienced to help you. It's normal to feel any of these things at times. When these feelings persist, when you feel stuck and it seems endless, that's a good time to talk with a therapist.

Other signs that you probably need a trustworthy unbiased ear to talk to are when you find yourself overwhelmed and stressed out, overreacting, drinking too much, overeating, going in circles, not sleeping well, sleeping too much, lacking interest in hobbies or activities, or just feeling physically crappy. We all feel out-of-balance at times.
Services
When we meet together for counseling, we form a therapeutic relationship. It's a relationship unlike any other. As your therapist, I will be caring, attentive, confidential, and honest. And unlike friends or family members who are often "too close" to the situation, I have the advantage of helping you look at life's difficulties with a fresh perspective.
We never have enough of it. We feel like it's running out. We feel like we can't get it all done. The stress is killing us. It's harming our bodies, it's harming our relationships, it's warping our perspective of who we are and who we can be. It ruins our sleep and kills our dreams. When is it Time for Counseling?
Young people going through the process of adolescence need what they have always needed from their parents. They want love, support, encouragement, nurture, acceptance and attention. The difference for teenagers is that while children need their parents to be in the lead, pulling them along, directing their steps and making the important decisions, teenagers need to be side-by-side.
Counseling requires a trusting and caring relationship between you and me. I have to get to know you to offer you the best possible therapy. This could be quick, as in a few sessions depending upon what you are struggling with, or take longer.

Therapy starts with an intake assessment (a form with many questions about you) that helps me know you better, helps me understand where you are in life and how you got there, problems you are dealing with now, and the best way we work together to solve or relieve what's troubling you.
Counseling is my calling. It is my love and joy to be able to help so many people who come through my doors. Each person is unique, and my job is to give you my full attention, focus on what you want, and customize a plan to fit your needs and goals. I first earned my bachelors degree in Nutrition and Food Science.
